I also cannot find a compatible reader slot on my PC for it. I notice it's called a "smart card" on their web site, and they sell a $60 reader. Well, I'm not going there! It doesn't have the expected set of pins, all in a row on the edge. It's got a metallic surface that looks just like a smart card (credit card sized), with exposed metal on the underneath. I can't find an online photo of it. All I can say is that it's long and skinny.
What am I looking at?
Thanks,

OK Bill... I'll tell you.... It's a SIM card. This is the same technology that a "Smart Card" (size of a credit card) uses However, it's put into a very small card, about 2/3 the size of an MMC. It has no row of pins. The contacts are on the underside.
SIM cards were used by early digital cameras, but went out of favor. It looks to me that Phillips changed to a SIM card from an MMC card to make it more difficult for people like us to peek under the hood at the data.
Here is the details on my machine.

It looks like I'll be buying a SIM reader online today. Be careful, these multi-purpose readers, (8 to 1, 30 to 1, 50 to 1 and so on) in general do not support SIM, so read carefully. They also seem to be rather particular about which version of Windows they work with. I don't know about Apple. I will report back which reader works for me.
