"my car makes a funny click"
"did you take it to a garage?"
"no garages are scary"
"Oh poor you. Try washing it"
"it smokes too"
"pet it a few times"
"That did n't help"
"You need to have a mechanic look at it. You could burn out the engine"
"Oh no I can't do that!! Mechanics are scary"
"Oh you mean person how could you say that to him/her?"
"Now I am scared. No one loves me!!"
"Don't worry just drive slowly"
"The engine could get ruined"
"I am leaving you people are awful"

71. The lame can ride on horseback, the one-handed drive cattle. The deaf, fight and be useful. To be blind is better than to be burnt on the pyre. No one gets good from a corpse. The Havamal

Yes, it is. That's why it is so real, with warts and all.

One of the things I really admire and appreciate about this forum is the decorum that enshrouds the language used here. Some forums, or comment sections below a news story like on McClatchyDC, have such hateful and vulgar language it's sickening. I sometimes think I'm one of the worst for using a few swear words here, but I do try to limit them to cases where they work for emphasis. Even the hardest hitting comments here are written with clean language. We should all be proud of that.

Hey SU, it's great to see you posting. Have I not been paying attention, or have you really been off for awhile?

Artists, monks and knitters. hahahahaha
Aha! Warm, I now understand your comment in the Sugar and Lies thread. Cute! (But really too subtle for most to get. )

And earlier:
Shane: Do you mind putting down that gun? Then I'll leave.

Joe Starrett: What difference does it make? You're leaving anyway.

Shane: I'd like it to be my idea.

Thanks! I've been around, posting here and there. Trying (but not succeeding) to type less, as my carpal tunnel is acting up.

Keep taking it easy. Sure hope you can get that carpal taken care of. An architect in my church suffered pretty badly from it. Had surgery done and is super happy with how well he feels now.

Hmmm: "---with warts and all"
I'll have you know that is NOT a wart!
It's a little bitty skin tag!

A little bit OT, but SU, if you haven't already done so, you may want to investigate vitamin B6 and/or a B vitamin complex for treatment of carpal tunnel. B vitamin supplements seem to work for me. I know it sounds like one of those quackery treatments, but the supplements have kept me from surgery.

Thanks -- I am actually getting quite a bit of vitamin B in another supplement I'm taking.
