Sorry, I am not familiar with that county.

Besides Kingwood, what are some big cities in that county I might recognize?

I have a person just like this next door. 25 years old but mental age about 2
and still in dipers .....
I would not consider your neighbor to be a "disturbed person".

Well you might not think that Woody's next door neighbor is a disturbed person, Chicago Granny, but you post does infer that it is about developmentally disabled people, ie, "riding the special bus," "licking surfaces," and "wearing depends," and calls them 'disturbed.' I agree with Woody; it was in poor taste.

That said, I usually really enjoy your off topic funnies.

Looking back on my life, I have to say I spent 90% of my money on booze, women and motorcycles. The other 10% I wasted.

That reminds me of a statement a co-worker of mine said many many years ago at a Duck Hunting Camp with 6 other guys.

I don't smoke, drink, or chase women, so I will live longer than you guys.

Our answer was NO, you won't live longer, it will just seem that way.

He died in his early 50s. ALL of the rest of us are still here.

Well, I did say many many years ago.
Probably should have said a few more manys - as it was that long ago.

Besides WAY BACK THEN I was young & single (& some might say a little stupid). So, why not.

Guess I should have put this additional information in my prior post.

Of the 3, I never really smoked.
When I was a young teenager, I tried it (because everyone said I shouldn't) but never continued because frankly I just did not like it.

Later in life, a different co-worker & I regularly did day trips out of town for work.
This one bar was half way home & a good break - so we stopped every time.
Besides, it was the only one open that early.

That co-worker introduced me to those little cigars.
Isn't a bar the perfect place for those?

Anyway, I continued to smoke them in the office for a few months, but eventually gave them up also. It was just not as enjoyable when not in a bar.

Way back then, I had NO problem sleeping & definitely did NOT have SA.

Comics don't make fun of people with untreated cancer. Maybe someday they won't make fun of people with untreated SDB.

Something Serious

Post by ChicagoGranny » Mon Oct 14, 2013 9:27 am

I hope Perrybucsdad, the OP, doesn't mind me inserting something serious in here. Being a big bird lover I just have to report this.

Researchers for the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority found over 200 dead crows near greater Boston recently, and there was concern that they may have died from Avian Flu. A Bird Pathologist examined the remains of all the crows, and, to everyone's relief, confirmed the problem was definitely NOT Avian Flu. The cause of death appeared to be vehicular impacts.

However, during the detailed analysis it was noted that varying colors of paints appeared on the bird's beaks and claws. By analyzing these paint residues it was determined that 98% of the crows had been killed by impact with trucks, while only 2% were killed by an impact with a car.

MTA then hired an Ornithological Behaviorist to determine if there was a cause for the disproportionate percentages of truck kills versus car kills.

The Ornithological Behaviorist very quickly concluded the cause: when crows eat road kill, they always have a look-out crow in a nearby tree to warn of impending danger. They discovered that while all the lookout crows could shout "Cah", not a single one could shout "Truck."
"It's not the number of breaths we take, it's the number of moments that take our breath away."
