Hey if that is what most people want, then that is how it should be, no arguement there.

Now if they just had a "delete thread" button, we could save this now useless discussion from getting in the way of more important topics (note that if there was a general discussion forum, that wouldn't happen! Sorry, just sayin... )
What is Really surprising is that people don't read the links they put in their posts. Really.

We just might need a poll to decide which pair of categories to go with:
1) Main Section
2) Why We're NOT Having More Than One Category Around Here
1) Everything
2) Everything else
1) Personalities
2) Alternate Personalities
1) Main Section
2) Entirely Irrelevant Social Networking
1) This And...
2) That
1) Main Section
2) Yet Another Main Section
1) <vacant>
2) MAIN Section

3 strikes and yer outtttt! I ignored your intital nonsense but you want to push the issue....

Apparently Really REALLY needs to grow up. Here is your OWN Childish post from the other link:
Really wrote:If there is something about the forum which bothers you why not say what it is instead of suggesting the childish posts be hidden in sub categories. Really.
Looking at the first part of that thread, your post not only doesn't make any sense, it doesn't even fit in, just like the CHILDISH garbage you have posted here. Maybe you should REALLY stop trolling...YES REALLY!!! (or go back to the yahoo boards where the rest of them hang out...)

Trolls usually get banned from posting and diverting threads in normal forums but I guess there is no one moderating this forum, hence you being allowed to continue posting, yet another improvement needed....

Go to the apnea group on Yahoo - there is a 48 hour lag in posts as each post gets carefully moderated and nobodies question gets answered in any detail.
I will take all the so - called trolls over that.

By the way name calling puts you on that same level according to most mothers with 3 year olds.

I don't know if you are refering to me, but you might want to READ my post again and all the garbage "really" posted before that which prompted it.

Never called any names (labeled his/her behaviour) just pointed out the obvious and responded to his/her insults. tit for tat.

This is really not even an option, the current format is just plain dated and silly and its just a matter of when they get off their tooches and get it done.

Feel free to post your suggestions for categories below or comment on what I propose, here are mine:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Machine discussion: (all questions and suggestions for Machines, etc)

Mask discussion:

Software discussion:

General Health discussion:

General Help needed: (Newbie posts generally fit here)

General Discussion: (for anything that does not fit into the above)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Do some math. There are 48,000 threads (maybe a million posts?) in the forum. You divide them up into six categories, that is an average of 8,000 threads per category. Surely you don't think that is going to achieve some sort of "category nirvana"?

Most people find that sleep-disordered breathing and CPAP are not sets of discrete challenges. Every component of the condition and therapy affects every other component to some degree. For example, mask leaks affect the humidifier, affect machine response, and affect understanding the data recorded by the software. Newbies learn from the experienced and other newbies and the experienced learn from newbies and each other.

Likewise, the human being is the most complex organism. When he has a technical problem, he needs technical advice, but often the greatest benefit may come from spiritual advise, social advise, learning from robust debate, being cheered on, or getting a "get-your-sorry-ass-off-the-can-and-quit-whining" chewing out.

You are, what, about 3 weeks into the therapy? Get your CPAP process tweaked, a good therapy going, and recover from damage caused by going untreated for so long, and you may start to appreciate the excellent forum the way it is.

There, there, just go and have your nap, that's a good boy, you will feel better soon and get your sense of humour back.

Oh, you would like to start too now, oh goodie. What's a matter, is "really" a good friend of yours? Exposing his/her childish nature somehow insults you? shucks thats too bad.

Have you even remotely considered the idea that many people would NOT regard it as an improvement to the site?
Probably not, you've probably closed your mind to others ideas.
