I understood Linda's last post to mean that it was to be her last post on this topic. I hope that is what she meant because I too value reading her posts.

I take it back, I will make one more post.

And this is my final post on the forum.

So Long.
Linda didn't say final post on this topic!
She said it was her final post on the forum!

As I've said before...If you don't like the topic don't continue to read it! I found the poll to be in poor taste but I know I have no right to tell anyone else what should or should not be here( I'm not counting obvious spam posts). I trust Johnny and TitratorTed to handle those things. Maybe when someone sees something questionable(or offensive) they should PM one of them.
Unfortunately it looks like we have lost an active, informative, lively, and funny member.

Brenda

Unfortunately Elle, it appears Linda meant last post on this forum, not the thread.

I was one that saw the original "poll". Eric did take alot of heat for it. However, he did the adult thing, deleted it and all was well. However, several people have since decided they needed to beat the dead horse and rehash it over and over again. Why? Eric was fine with it. Apologies went around and it was done.
Frankly, it seems there are some who like to incite the crowd and see where it goes. One person, who has not posted a thing since Nov., decided to make a comeback in a negative way and felt the need to personally attack Linda with rebuttal and sarcasm. Was it necessary? Absolutely not. Was it costly? You betcha. Linda has been a kind, helpful and knowledgeable member of this forum a long time. She has probably helped almost every one of us at one time or another. I know I have valued her advice on all matters xpap.

If there are those of you who really feel they still need to know the content of this poll, why not just PM Eric and ask him??? If you really must know, the basic gist of the poll was this:

a. Do you get excited seeing your partner naked wearing a hose?
b. Does your partner get excited seeing YOU naked wearing a hose?

Get it? That was the big "sexuality poll" which had absolutely noting to do with sexuality. So, if your all satisfied, please consider sending a PM to Linda asking her to please return.

Linda's return

Post by Guest » Wed Feb 07, 2007 2:37 pm

I, for one, also regret that Linda has apparently moved on. She had a lot to offer and her messages were very helpful.

Now this may be a silly idea, but:
I was going to send her a PM, expressing my feelings. If her account is like mine, she'll get a message on her email that someone has left a PM for her. Hopefully, she'll read it and reconsider.

I don't want to "spam" her, that's for sure, or invade her privacy, but this seems like a gentle way to say "We miss you, Linda. Please come back if you feel it is the right thing for you to do".

Before I do it, does anyone have an opinion about whether this seems like the right thing to do? Just checking, as I don't want to invade her space or encourage others to do so.

Thanks.

I hope it was the right thing to do, since I did it this morning

I sent her one 10 minutes after she announced she was done. I felt so bad for her.

I am sorry the gist of the poll has been posted. (Maybe that post can be edited to remove the summary of it so must of us can continue to be in the dark?)

It was much more fun debating this without knowing what we were talking about.

I am also very sorry if Linda has left the forum as I am a new CPAPer and I know she provided very quick and helpful advice to me personally.

The poll must have been intended as a joke (although maybe I do not understand Frenchmen).

Tanstaf,
The problem is that it wasn't fun. It wasn't fun for Eric, obviously it wasn't fun for Linda or many others. I posted the "gist" of it so people could see what it was that they felt was so important that it cost us a valued forum member.

Yes, of course, Eric meant it as a joke but now he is adding up "team" members and counting who is on his "side" It will only serve to further divide this community. As I said many pages ago, let it die.....

Ok Ok ... I will let it die... I will let it die...

But again!!! Don't take the life so seriously!! All this thread for my part is just a big joke...

And I count users on my side only for fun... I am not a serious person... i don't take life so seriously... and I encourage all of you to put a smile in their faces and just laugh a little bit... some times... maybe

Eric, the man who start polemics...

Adios aloa...

All this noise for that type of question? Wow.

You know, we are sexual beings. The fact that we're here is a pretty good proof of concept.

I have struggled, privately, with how to deal with intimacy and the CPAP hardware. How would I deal with my partners reaction, either positive or negative, to my needing a CPAP. If I was to get intimate with someone for the first time, would I leave the machine out, or would I stash it in the dresser. What would my reaction be if I meant someone who was on a CPAP? Would I be comfortable with them? Would I freak out?

Someone once told me there are three answers to a question:
1. Yes
2. No
3. None of your business.

If you don't like the poll... move on. By why rob someone else of what they may need as pertinent information. There are several topics that are on this forum that are of no interest to me. That does not give me the right to bash the person that posted it. The fact that I don't have interest in their postings, is nothing more than the fact that I have no interest in their posting.

As far as taking sides.

-747
