I'll weigh-in here once more.

I'm as far away from prudish as you can get. That it was sexual in nature wasn't my primary objection to the poll.

My main objection was it was completely irrelevant to CPAP. Maybe it was Eric's attempt at having some fun, but this is a forum where people who are serious about their condition come for help & advice, NOT STUPID POLLS! And yes, the poll was stupid (no other way to describe it).

Those people who are taking Eric's side are talking out their behinds, because they didn't even see the poll. You don't know what you're defending for crying out loud! Are you defending Eric's right to post any poll he desires? Again, the poll had NOTHING, repeat, NOTHING to do with CPAP.

We can all have have a great time here, but shouldn't we stay somewhat on topic?

Wake me up when this is over...

So we talk out of our behinds do we?

I still think this sounds like a personal opinion ... but what do I know? ... "Except maybe how to pass gas?" Now that is a CPAP related statment!

President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

I am not defending Eric because as you say we did not see the poll. (Besides we defended the French twice with flesh and blood and they don't appreciate it - burn me once, shame on you, burn me twice, shame on me.)

But are you saying that Linda should not have started a thread about who we wanted to win the Super Bowl? What does that have to do with sleep apnea? As a Pats fan, I might have been offended. (Actually I am glad Manning FIPNALLY got his ring.) Should we have a mask contest? It seems frivolous, or at least un-serious.

Many forums have an off-topic sub-forum. Maybe there should be one here. But in the meantime this is the only dead horse we have to beat.

This has been the most entertaining thread yet on this forum. Thank you for the chuckles.

Eric,

Please do me a favor, and repost your original "pool". The people here that are defending you really deserve to see it for themselves.

No matter what anyone says, do not delete it.

We understood you, obviously, I just don't understand what's so wrong with learning and making it better. This forum is an opportunity to learn about sleep apnea and english at the same time. I don't see why you would want to pass up on one of those two.

Again, I have nothing against you and wish you all the best.

The only people calling names and approving of the poll, are the ones who never saw it.

All who read the poll, disapproved of it. .
Now that would qualify as a pretty broad statement, that. Actually, I saw the poll, and did not disapprove of it. (But, I might have been the only one. )

So, it's at least "ALL minus one". I was just nonplussed. Maybe my threshhold for being offended on such stuff is just higher than some, but it's only lame humor after all, not an ad hominem attack with malice intent. Check out some of the ridiculous and useless responses to my serious attempt at generating publicity with a bumper sticker. Those type of responses just make it more difficult for serious readers to get through a potentially useful thread. Erik's poll on the other hand was easy to figure out immediately without diluting the quality of other posts. A quick glance, and then move on. 'Tis easy.
The Poll was not "policed" off the forum. Eric, the poster of the Poll, took it off himself.
Actually, Erik took quite a pummeling with a number of poster adamantly demanding that he "do the right thing" and remove the post. Eventually, he did remove the post, but I was quite surprised at the vitriolic repsonse. If there had not been such an uproar, I'm quite sure he would not have felt compelled to acquiesce.

Much ado about nothing, a tempest in a teapot, but that's only one man's opinion.

I've sure seen a lot of off topic postings here, and the only thing that struck me about this one being unique was that it was far more puerile then most, and obviously struck some as being over the line. Lots of examples of silly innuendos and lame bathroom humor can be found here, too. Pretty tame stuff for what you're exposed to in the real world.

Hey, did you hear the one about the traveling salesman and the farmer's daughter . . . ?
