I stil have all my data for the last year. I rebuilt my patient file from backup when I realized about a month in that I wasn't getting the flow data. After that I just backed up my patient file. I haven't had any problems at all with Resscan. I've tried Sleepyhead a couple of times and Mark has done a great job on it, but for me there is no advantage over Resscan.

Sorry Arch but you continue to push Sleepyhead on new S9 users when you don't know anything about ResScan. ResScan is easier for a new user to use and the tutorial video is available. If they want to delve into Sleepyhead, at least they will know what they are looking at. After a year I still don't see anything the average cpap user will get from Sleepyhead that they won't get from ResScan. I downloaded the newest version this week. It just doesn't offer me anything I don't get from ResScan.

haha, Thanks Liz....all the little side bars help in their way too. I now know that I don't need sleepyhead.

I am just slowly absorbing what I have learned before I take it any further. I don't want to wear out my welcome by being too dependent either. I am thrilled that I know as much as I do already from reading here.

You won't wear out you welcome here... unless you get really stupid!! Post your screenshots and ask questions. It is alot to absorb at once. Have you noticed a difference in how you feel with the new machine or new settings? You cat is cute... and I don't even like cats...

Trust me I do get really stupid on occasion even when I think I really thought things out.....I will blame age.

The cat is my daughter's. I was stuck with him while she was away at school and then working in Korea for many years. She is back in town in her own apt. and he is now living with her (except for this week while she is away). I don't like cats either but this one is entertaining. He is a 20 lb mainecoon and is very clever. I will be happy to see him go back home though. He is too demanding and I have to sleep with a light on so I won't crush him when I get up to the loo several times a night.

I don't really feel better yet. I loved it the first night but since then it has been a struggle. I think my mask doesn't like the pressure changes or something because I feel that I am awake more than I was before....but I am remembering dreams which is new.

I have ordered a Swift FX which I expect in the next week and will then likely have to ask how to reset my machine to show the changed mask. It is too bad this forum isn't known by so many new users. I couldn't manage without it and feel for people trying to do this on their own.

It might help you to narrow your pressure range after you have a week or so of data. You will have a better idea of what your pressure needs really are.
It takes some time to find your comfort zone.

If you select "overwrite" during the data download process then Resscan will delete the older data. That's one reason to always select "discard" during download.

I haven't had that experience but I have only selected overwrite when I have already downloaded data once for that day. Message= Duplicate data for the current day, not the standard message about summary data for the first day. Have you lost data this way?

I just ran a test and now remember what happens. Let's say you have more than 30 days of flow data in your patient folder. You do a download and select overwrite instead of discard. What happens is, counting backward with last night being 1, the flow data from nights 8 through 30 get deleted. Flow data older than 30 days remains. All other detail data appears to remain.

Resscan doesn't give you the option to specify what drive the files are on. It searches for it and puts the drive letter into the box. It searches specifically for a data card.

Yes, but how does it determine it's a data card? Perhaps it simply looks for a drive with a "Datalog" directory. Have you tried it?
