All this noise for that type of question? Wow.

You know, we are sexual beings. The fact that we're here is a pretty good proof of concept.

I have struggled, privately, with how to deal with intimacy and the CPAP hardware. How would I deal with my partners reaction, either positive or negative, to my needing a CPAP. If I was to get intimate with someone for the first time, would I leave the machine out, or would I stash it in the dresser. What would my reaction be if I meant someone who was on a CPAP? Would I be comfortable with them? Would I freak out?

Someone once told me there are three answers to a question:
1. Yes
2. No
3. None of your business.

If you don't like the poll... move on. By why rob someone else of what they may need as pertinent information. There are several topics that are on this forum that are of no interest to me. That does not give me the right to bash the person that posted it. The fact that I don't have interest in their postings, is nothing more than the fact that I have no interest in their posting.

As far as taking sides.

I agree wholeheartedly with snorin747. We are sexual beings and CPAP use has a good chance of affecting our sexuality, so it is a reasonable thing to talk about here. If the topic does not interest you or even make you uncomfortable or offends you (sorry), then move on and ignore it. But, since this is a forum for all things RELATED to cpap, I agree that it is appropriate.

The fact that Eric is French is enough reason for me to dislike him.

Yet another reason why "Guests" should not be allowed to post without registering.

Bookworm I agree!!! The above post is absolutely uncalled for and NOT needed on this forum! It is time that Johnny stopped it once and for all. Either register or you will NOT be allowed to post on this forum, period. I rarely get involved in this type of discussion, but I feel very strongly about guest posting.

By the way, I saw nothing wrong with the "sexuality pool".

Yeah, Paul.....we SHOULD get away from our computers.....but who would be around to help newbies like YOU? I couldn't care less about this thread and personally thought it should have never been posted. BUT, to address points you've brought up, I went back through your original postings and discovered that some of us, who apparently don't "have a life" and sit at our computers, were able to help you through your early experiences with getting on the hose......instead of "getting hosed" by Apria. I offer the following post by you last Oct. 4th.(below)
I could have been quite "vulgar" in my response to your post (in a similar way you have tried to insult the members of this forum)......but I hate to stoop to that level.

Some of us are here to help and some of us are here because we need help. Sometimes the subjects get "side-tracked" into silly theads and posts that have nothing to do with therapy......but end up gathering many posts.

I hope your therapy is doing well.

Best wishes.

Den

I told her the doc ordered a different machine and she asked which one I wanted. I stated the Remstar Pro2 with heat. The RT then said "You have been doing your homework, haven't you" ( Thanks guys!! ) Now there isn't an appointment available till next Monday. We'll see... I've already lined up two other DME's who have the stuff if Apria blows this appointment next Monday.

Sounds reasonable at face value. BTW, I think Eric's first language is French, but I don't think he actually "is French". I believe he is Canadian. Maybe that's enough? Dunno, your call.

He claims to be French. Even if he is in fact not French, a French speaking Canadian is good enough for me to dislike him. I put the French and Canaditnas in the same category, so the end result is the same.

I've got no quarrel with your logic. But, just out of curiousity, who else is in that same category and why? How can you avoid being in that category?

Does British Columbia count? I've got a friend there, and it's almost like she could be considered an American. Just a small accent thing when he says "about". Comes out like " a boot". I thought it was kind of cute at first.
