Lies can do harm.
We are doing the right thing by making liars pay.
Next up: celebrity anti--vaxxers
(I actually believe there are cases already on a docket somewhere.)
They can share a cell with those who bribed their dumb kids into a fancy college.
Mini rant from me, And this isn't negatively directed at ChunkyFrog at all, just me being mad at society as I've been listening to this mess on the news and I'm getting a little sick of it.
I always assumed that "Rich people" get to bribe their kids into college... I figured that's the way it has always worked since like forever. Not that "Rich Parents" don't sometimes have smart kids of which could earn their own way into college based on their own academic merit and achievement but... Money buys stuff, and assurances/insurance.
Money buys privilege, favor, respect/fear... I would think it be naive to think otherwise. That's why I didn't understand what all the hub-bub was over the kids getting bribed into college. Sure the parents weren't donating 100 million or more for a new football stadium, but...
Are we going to say that... if your "normal" (I don't use the term derogatorily just realistically, as a classification of financial means)... you have to go in the right way. If your just a little rich, we're now going to catch you and burn you at the stake of public outrage to make an example out of you to help the "Normal people" sleep better at night. But if your OMG, stinking filthy rich, you go on buying new buildings, or donating obscene sums of money for which ever university you like and your kids I'm sure will have no problems attending... and that's ok? Shrugs, what ever...
When your surname is on the side of the physics building... do we honestly think that that isn't going to at the least "COME UP" when your admittance letter is being considered?
The anti-vaxers are just hmmm..... You see measles outbreaks occurring right now over seas taking out thousands of people, killing little children like falling dominoes, for the most part, because of fear campaigns freaking parents out making them think if they do the responsible thing they're going to hurt their child. The really sad thing I assume these parents truly want what is best for their child and a lot of them don't know any better. They see information that's blatantly wrong, but they don't have the wherewithal to know and they get scared. They make a choice, then later when their 4 year old or 8 year old or, both at once, die with in a few days of contracting measles, they find out tragically that that wasn't the right choice. The whole trick with vaccines is you create an environment were the bug your trying to kill can't thrive. When pockets of people decide it's ok not to maintain that safe environment, you lose that safety net and now... we have an illness we were closing in on wiping off the face of the earth coming back with a vengeance and kicking our proverbial butts. It's just really depressing.
Miss-information and scam artists who peddle in lies hurt us all. If there's any justice in the world the people running around creating the scare campaigns will become infected by the very illnesses they're telling people not to get vaccinated for... Hope they don't die from it, just that they learn a lesson, they seam very motivated and good at spreading information. If they had some personal life altering experiences with the illnesses they're trying to keep people from vaccinating against maybe they would switch teams and we could use their tenacity to better inform the public to help fight these bugs to make them go away for good.
Back to the original Discussion about "SoClean" (Sputter, Cough, Cough, Haaahaaahaaahahahahaahah!!! Ya right)
I did a little happy dance when I read the title of this post. I hope they get taken to the "Cleaners" so I never have to watch another one of their obnoxious fear mongering propaganda adds again. "Good Riddance"
Sleep well,
