But it's also possible for someone to be a very sad human being who needs a lot of professional help AND a troll, both at the same time.SleepingUgly wrote:Agreed. I guess that goes back to the "deliberate" part of the definition.Drowsy Dancer wrote:But it's also possible for someone to be a very sad human being who needs a lot of professional help AND a troll, both at the same time.

Perhaps "Trolling" is one of the many negative effects SDB can have on the mind, body and spirit.

SU, I admire and respect your compassionate view, and it is not necessarily misplaced.SleepingUgly wrote:I guess that goes back to the "deliberate" part of the definition.Drowsy Dancer wrote:But it's also possible for someone to be a very sad human being who needs a lot of professional help AND a troll, both at the same time.
I think it is just a matter of conservation of resources and energy when it comes to continuing to respond to this person, and possibly thereby channeling time or energy away from others in need of, and who could benefit from, help or advice or reassurance.
Continuing to respond to SWA17 - Is it benefiting this person? Is it benefiting others? Everyone remains free to arrive at their own conclusion, and own choice as to whether or not to continue responding.
Best wishes, Nate

Re: ....
If this thread had dropped further down the page, I wouldn't have bothered responding, but it was 3 from the top.
The problem, as I see it, is we've been here several times. A long thread where everyone agrees we need to stop responding to SWA17. Whether he is a troll, mentally ill or just immature is anyone's guess. The ONE thing we all can agree on is that nobody on this forum is equipped to help SWA17. All legitimate attempts to help have been met with resistance and/or total ignoring of advice.
What happens is he disappears for a few weeks/months, then pops back up and starts over again. Inevitably, a new member will try to help, not realizing what type of poster SWA is. And we end up exactly where we are right now -- AGAIN.

Re: ....
I have responded to SWA's posts in other tHreads, all in good faith... therefore I'll keep this comment short and sweet. Every minute I spend wasting time with an unappreciative and antagonistic SWA is one minute less that I can spend helping a person who deserves this forum's input.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.
Re: ....
Because I'm one who would rather err on the side that does no harm, I've been reluctant to take a hard line stance on any thoughts about this poster. Well, it's been a slow week around here with too much computer time on my hands, so I wanted to try to settle this in my mind. Over several days I've copied all SWA17's posts that have not been deleted into a document. When I hit another slow point, I'll scan them for patterns or inconsistencies, then hopefully feel informed enough to decide whether to write them off as an intentional troublemaker, or relegate them to the "people on here I am not equipped to help" category.

Re: ....
So, all the OP's posts have been deleted. Covering tracks?
I do hope he seeks the help he REALLY needs. I'm sure there is a decent person somewhere under all that anger.

One of the things that I find very telling is that SWA has cussed us out and wished us all dead. Yet, he continues to log in to the forum. He blew up around 4:00pm yesterday afternoon, was logged in around 7:55 last night and again at 7:28 this morning.
If he really wishes us all dead, why bother coming to the forum? Maybe to watch all our subsequent posts?
I have my opinion as to why this is....
