Yes, those changes are perfect. We can see at a glance all the needed graphs.
You know that even 4 hours on the machine for being new and having trouble with mask fit and all the other issues is really nothing to pooh pooh off. There are people struggling after months that can't even make it to 4 hours.

What is your situation with your doctor and your DME supplier? Are you using insurance to purchase the machine or what?
Are you going to be following up with a doctor anytime soon with your reports?
In other words...is anyone going to get their panties in a wad if you make a few minor changes? Don't want to get you in trouble and there is no real urgent need to change anything unless you are having trouble breathing when you first mask up.
That 4 cm minimum is as low as the machine will go and for some people they will feel that not enough air is moving. They say it is uncomfortable and stifling. While technically we won't suffocate at 4 cm it can sometimes feel like it.
If 4 cm is comfortable...there is no urgent need right now to change it. If you are feeling like not quite enough air is moving then a little increase in that minimum would likely be a bit more comfortable from the stand point of air movement.

Heck, with a Snore line like that, it's time to move back into the master bedroom!

I missed your original post yesterday. My first thought tonight after seeing 6 pages of posts was, "aw man, someone resurrected a thread from years ago." But no, in just two days, this thread has to be the hottest welcome on the forum. From your plots, I don't think you need to worry about adapting to hoseland.

I will have to PM you to learn your DME's name. I just fired mine.

I see very few Houstonians on the forum. Sheriff Bufford is up in Kingwood while I am down in Clear Lake.

I would like to see an active A.W.A.K.E. chapter. This forum has been my life-saver. Earl

I had already called the home health lady and told her I felt I wasn't getting enough air in. She said on my next appointment in 2 more weeks she could tweak it if I wanted. If it was making me that miserable she said I could drive back out to her office, but that's in another city. Granted, I can do it... it would just be a hassle. My book that came with the machine didn't tell me how to tweak the lower number and she didn't show me. But then, she didn't tell me about SleepyHead, this forum, and a great many other things. She was very sweet, but kinda' dingy.

Last night was the first night since I've had the CPAP that I felt pretty rested when I woke up. I did have a nasty nightmare last night, and I bet that's what all those crazy lines were. I was panicky for a bit, then add in the stuffy/low setting. I was debating consulting the Google gods and finding out how to set my machine higher. Think anybody would get their underbritches in a wad if I did so??

Everybody keeps telling me I'm doing better than they thought I would. I'm a survivor though. It's what I do. I find out weaknesses in myself and attack them until I get a handle on it. I don't see this as any different. I find a way to laugh about it and just keep trucking. I even took a few pictures of myself with the CPAP on today and I was debating using that as my avatar here. I'm a bit nervous about that though.

Poppi, I'm not shocked this has multiple pages. Everybody here has been wonderful, plus I'm a Chatty Cathy doll. I'm like my fellow Okie, Will Rogers, I never met a stranger I didn't like.". Careful, I might talk your ears clean off! Hey, I'd love to get a group of us together! I'm in Jersey Village if it matters. I'm willing to drive to meet up with everybody though.

Angela, you should not, under any circumstances, consult the following two resources

http://www.apneaboard.com/resmed-s9-cpap-setup

http://www.cpaplibrary.com/machine-education

p.s., You probably know this already but the S9 Auto "For Her" is the exact same as the regular S9 Auto, it's just pink!

I keep meaning to change that. My book that came with the machine says it's the one for her, but mine is grey. And, *wink wink, nudge nudge, say no more...* I will not look at those. LOLz!

Hey, Brucifer? I keep meaning to tell you, I LOVE your name. Cracks me up every time I see it! *high five*

Hmm, there seem to be a lot of us insomniacs up and lurking about!! No late night partying for us, eh? Boo!

There's no way I could stand 4cm as the low pressure. It's like being smothered. I don't know how people do it!

Your graphs look pretty good, though. Once you start hitting the 3-4 hours per night mark, you'll start adding to it. At least, it was really hard for me to get to 3-4 hours, but it increased from there more quickly.

Hi Abby.

I haven't read all the pages, just a few. Just like someone stated. This last data, you're definitely ready to return back to the masterbedroom. Congratulations on overcoming the snore issue, plus getting used to the who xpap experience. It's not easy. You'll eventually increase the hours used.
We're all pround of you Also, when I tame a new mask, I always sleep in the spare bedroom so as not to disturb Hubby.

Regarding the photos, that is an idea I've been thinking we should do this next Halloween. Give us a scary face with your mask on . Don't know if anyone would get into it, I'm game! I thought about posting it last year, but I didn't.

Well the first thing you need to learn is that YOU are in control of your own health and therapy. The dingy health lady may try to maintain her control over you by saying that changing your own machine pressures is illegal or some bull crap like that but it is not true -- just ask her to show you the government statute and she will be unable to produce it. The dingy health lady wants to keep you under her control simply for her own job security whether she knows it herself or not.

No body, health professional or not has more interest in your health than you do ... remember that.

Keep in mind that in Texas you can be executed for changing your own settings.

... And Montgomery County Sherrif's Office recently purchased their own airborne military drone for northwest Houston. And without habeas corpus, anyone can be executed for anything now (including not changing your settings)

Sorry, I've been out playing today. We went out to lunch at Big Red Cock and then to see the new Batman movie. I understand how to change that blasted low setting on my CPAP now, but what do you suggest setting it to?? Thoughts?? Last night was my first night with the chin strap. OMFG I HATE IT!!!! I finally gave up after a few hours and took absolutely everything off including the CPAP. I'd just had enough for one night. I will admit however that I had a solid purple circle for a clear airway in the bottom left side of SleepyHead though. *le sigh* I guess that means I better find a way to tolerate that damn strap. *stamps food* But I don't wanna'!!! *pouts*

What do they serve at the Big Red Cock? Next time I'm in Houston, I'll definitely have to go there, if only to have my picture taken with the sign.

Heh chin straps don't do anything for me (don't even stop the leaks).

Can't tell exactly from your graphs, but it looks like 6 should be the minimum, or maybe 7 or 8. I would find anything below 8 suffocating, but I'm used to 12-18.
