Perhaps cpap.man thinks the pillows would be more comfortable for most people and is not carrying the direct seal. However, Respironics says you have a choice between pillows and direct seal. Wonder what the scoop is.

Actually CPAP.com does carry all three. The catch is that you have a choice between pillow and simple cushion or Direct Seal and simple cushion BUT not pillow and Direct Seal in the same box

Just ordered

Post by sleepyred » Thu Mar 30, 2006 7:12 pm

I just ordered mine from CPAP.com and ordered the nasal pillows and simple cushion. It's neat to get two interfaces and two sizes! I got the medium/large as suggested. Lori - I do have large nares for a small framed, but tall skinny person! Thanks for the tip!

But.....it's on backorder! They assured me it would be in on Tues and to my door by Friday! I can't wait

Thanks for all your help!

The quest for the perfect mask is addictive. I just ordered the Comfortlite2 from cpap.com. I don't understand the post which says only pillows available. I can't stand the pillows on the Swift, so I ordered the direct seals. My order says:

ComfortLite 2 Nasal Interface - Small/Medium Direct Seal and Simple Cushions

Anyway, can't wait for the new mask to arrive.

I expect my ComfortLite2 to arrive on Tuesday. I'll probably be one of the first persons in Europe to try this mask.

Thanks, everyone, for the ongoing review of the CL2. Does anyone know why they won't give an option of buying all three nasal pieces? Like when you order the Breeze, and can choose to purchase one, two or three sets of nose pieces. For a few more dollars I think it might be nice to have yet another option to rotate with, or choose from, or trade, or whatever. Just wondering. My DME, by the way, over here in Israel, had not even heard of the Comfort Lite 2. I sent him the info by e-mail. Lucky he has customers
who keep abreast.
Looking forward to hearing more posts about CL2 experiences!

backordered

Post by sleepyred » Sat Apr 01, 2006 7:12 am

Mine is back ordered - I should get it by the end of the week. I agree- I'd pay a few more bucks for all three - but I'm glad at least cpap.com is offering two!

I'm anxiously awaiting mine!

Funny thing last night with my breeze - the tubing which I am borrowing from the activa, I was trying to break it in my sleep! When i was conscious enough to know what I was doing, I thought I was trying to get it apart to get up, but was not. Strange!

Hi everyone,
I have slept with the CL2 for 5 nights. Well almost. I have had quite a difficult time with the head gear sliding up on my head as I sleep until it leaks more than I can take. Also as the head gear moves upward the pressure increases on the forehead on my brow. This is very uncomfortable. I had to yank it off the other night and go to the Swift one night and the next night the same problem, I went back to UMFF mask. I have tried the head gear straps at varying tensions to no avail. As I sleep I turn from side to side often and the mask has to be adjusted all the time. The elbow problem is there but I can deal with that. However, the head gear movement is intolerable for me. I tried placing the forehead part of the head gear farther up on my forehead this did not work. It seems to work best right down on my brow, but not for long. Has anyone else had this problem? Maybe I am just a cone head and the head gear can not keep traction on it.

Sorry I am GLC,
I am the Guest with the headgear movement problem.
I logged in however, when I tried to send a post it delogs me and places guest in the username? Do not know why sometimes it works and sometimes not.

I would tend to think that the head gear will have the tendency to shift down not up. You usually want the bottom strap on the head gear to be tighter than the middle strap for best results. You can also try moving the straps from the bottom and middle to the top and middle. I find that the bottom and middle position works best for me. The back strap is near the bottom of the skull almost on the neck is what I have setup that works the best for me. I still playing around with the Direct Seal and the Pillows by bending the metal band to bright the inserts a little bit closer together and change to angle to be a little more upright and I have five inserts to work with. I am getting a little bit better performance from the Comfort Lite 2 than the Swift but still undecided on final conclusions at this time. I also found a little less drying out of the sinuses with the Comfort Lite 2 as compared to the Swift for example.

I'm having the same problem as GLC. The straps on the CL2 seem slipperier than others I've tried and the whole headgear shifts upward and has to be constantly pulled back down (btw it can't really shift downward since the bottom straps are just above my big ol' ears). Tonight, I'm going to try moving the top strap from the middle position to the top position to see if that helps. The other problem I'm having with the CL2 is that I can't get the "cushion" to work. The pillows are fine but no matter what I try with the cushion, it still leaks worse than my old Comfort Gel. It seems like it could be a great interface if it could be tweaked a little.

If you look at the pictue of the Comport Lite 2 here https://www.cpap.com/viewImage.php?PNum ... illows.jpg

You will noticed that the back strap is just below the top of the ear. Then you will noticed that the bottom of the head gear in the front the middle part is below the eye brows and too far down for my needs. When I raise the front head piece the back strap has more of a angle and the tension of the nose interface is what tends to pull the interface down not up if I an not careful as least in my case. I did not have a interference problem with the top of my ears and if I did I will not accept the mask if it did, Your forehard may have more of a slope than mine that may changes things. That the problem everyone is different. My trick was to make sure that I have a little bit more tension on the bottom strap than the top strap. That's my situation.
