Why did you change from a data capable to non-data?

Re: SleepyHead 0.9.1 Official Beta Release
Anyone else experience "black on black" labels and pop-ups on the graphs in 0.9.2?
I am able to navigate well and see no other instances of this font behavior in the
program. I've been from one end to the other in the options and can't find anywhere
to adjust the graph displays specifically.
I searched this board for this complaint and found it mentioned back in September
as corrected. I've see no further discussion.
Any suggestions???
FWIW - I'm still running on an XP desktop.
(I'll give XP up when they pry it from my cold dead hands.)

Re: SleepyHead 0.9.1 Official Beta Release
Here in the UK it's usual (I believe) to get the Autoset for a couple of weeks to establish the pressure, then a basic CPAP machine to actually live with.
I can't complain, it's not like I had to pay for it.

That's what my boss said when she was going to get us all new laptops. XP!!! Yup, we got windows 7. I have no problems with it, not even aware if it has a good or bad rep.

John M. (What's your nick around her John!??) figured out a way to make it semi-behave.. I just need to modify the code to reset at the correct moment.
He got the SPO2 off the chart thing..

SleepyHead is designed for reasonably modern computers..
Try turning off the Pie Charts option in the Appearance tab, as this is probably the number one GL context smasher..
The other tabs share contexts, so should work..

The source code is in GIT.. you can get it fresh anytimeDynoDad wrote:Awesome, thanks. I used to work in software development and deployment, if you need someone to test it let me know.jedimark wrote:Working on it...

All you need is a GIT client and the Qt SDK.. (and x-code suite on Mac just for the compiler)
QtCreator is nice and graphical IDE that's part of Qt SDK, and helps pinpoint bugs when running SleepyHead in debugging mode..
Not an entirely easy process, but worth the effort setting up..

Speaking of Pie Charts, I still don't have a pie chart, all I have is a ? where it should be. I have the option turned on but no luck! I'm using Windows XP on a fairly old 7yr old basic Dell PC. I'd really like that feature. Any advice?jedimark wrote:Try turning off the Pie Charts option in the Appearance tab, as this is probably the number one GL context smasher..

Re: SleepyHead 0.9.1 Official Beta Release
DynoDad, I am able to do a serial import from my CMS50e via the Oximetry page in Sleepyhead.
However, I am using Ubuntu Linux, and the CMS shows up in SleepyHead's Serial Port dialogue when it is plugged into the USB socket on the computer. I don't know if this is the case with your Mac as you say
If it doesn't show up at all you will need to ask a Mac guru how to get it recognized. Maybe post in the viewtopic.php?f=1&t=72384&st=0&sk=t&sd= ... d+mac+beta page for help with that.
If it does show up in SH, then you can get it to import as below:
Plug in the CMS (Do not switch the CMS on yet) into the USB before starting SH
Start up SH and navigate to the Oximetry page. The CMS shows up in the Serial Port dialogue.
Press the Serial Import button.
Start the CMS50e and immediately go into Menu mode. Select Upload.
SH imports the recorded data and displays it.
Press the save button (looks like a floppy disk icon) to the left of the "Open SpOr file" button to save it to the Daily page.
If you plug the CMS in when it is switched on, this wont work.

Well, yes you did or else why did you pay your taxes? And what about all the money your parents, and their parents paid over to the government? Medical care for its citizens must be one of the state's primary functions. They never seem to have a problem spending your tax money on blasting countries back to the stone age, or building military machines, but pay for your care when you are sick or disabled? Oh no, that's too much to expect. It is unfortunate that the USA's health system has been hijacked by corporations and turned into a business where the main concern is not for the citizens welfare, but for the great god Profit. With all its wealth it could easily become a world leader in caring for its citizens instead of exploiting them.I can't complain, it's not like I had to pay for it.

Re: SleepyHead 0.9.1 Official Beta Release
It is probably the graphics card in your older computer. Even if we were for sure it was the graphics card...to upgrade your computer would likely not be a good use of the money. Money for a new graphics card making sure it will work with your older computers other older stuff along with money to pay someone to do it if you don't have the skills. Maybe time for a newer computer? If you get one with Windows 7 you can do the cool screen shots with the Snipping Tool.DoriC wrote:I still don't have a pie chart, all I have is a ? where it should be. Hmm, Well Xmas is over, I usually just get roses for Valentine's Day, my birthday isn't until August...oh wait, we've got Mother's Day in May and Mike and the kids go overboard on that one, so I think I've got a plan, thanks Pugsy!

Do you see a smiley face with 0.00 instead? (if so congrats, and the pie chart had nothing to draw, so it's showing Jimbo's animated gif instead! )DoriC wrote:Speaking of Pie Charts, I still don't have a pie chart, all I have is a ? where it should be. or just an empty space where it looks like it should go?
I'm doing most of SleepyHead development on a comfortable little Dell Inspiron 6000 (Pentium 4) from 2005(?), so I don't accidentally make things turn into a slow heap. So you should theoretically see it if it's turned on in File->Preferences Appearance Tab.. (which it should be by default in the 0.9 series) :-/
If not, maybe there will be a graphics driver update for your computer around somewhere? (Let me know the model number of your machine and I'll go have a look for you)

Neat... Thanks John.. I now know your CPAPTalk nick (I forgotted)
Deriving from your list I just need to insert a "Reset" command in before the data send.. I should have another look at those serial logs you sent me..
