Yep - -and that's exactly what I would do with a word I couldn't write in shorthand quickly. I did that all the time...also made up my own "short forms" for common words I used a lot.

Don't worry about that. If there's one thing this thread has served to prove, it's that it is impossible to spoil the fun of a bunch of cpaptalkers.

Wait, I thought we were a bunch of jerks??? Is "cpaptalker" now synonymous with "jerk"??

Well, in much the way a soda jerk dispenses carbonated beverages and ice cream, we could rename the forum cpapjerk dot com as we mix fizzy treatment observations with comforting, creamy CPAP support.

I don't want to be a jerk....

I'm still a yahoo.

Duh! You'd think I would have noticed that by now.

If you'll excuse me, I need to clean my keyboard from where I just snorted some water while reading the last couple of posts.

No problem! Shorthand is very difficult and requires that you be able to hear, write what you heard quickly and continue to listen to what you still need to write. You do not have time to think how to write a word because if you do, you will miss too much and get lost. Once you're lost, you have to embarrass yourself and ask them to stop so you can get caught up.

Right! And maybe this is the BEST way to get rid of trolls....hijack their thread!
