New SWIFT FX--ANYONE using it yet?

This is the Best Mask I have ever used!!!!!

I was using the LT for the pass two years. I have a APAP and it starts out about 12 and usually by morning I can be 20-22 mm/HG pressure. So I always had leaks in the morning ....and I have tried them all.
I started with the medium size that is on the mask when I got it. Lets say its the most comfortable head gear I have used. The silicon head gear at top is great...and I used the padding on the cheeks and it feels great no red marks or anything. Well that night was great but by morning I had the same old leaks....but it felt better than the LT so I decided to try a small. Last night it was perfect no leaks and I was all over the bed...I sleep on my sides...and move back and forth.....and I have noticed that I am getting more air flow than leaks I am I feel much better the this morning...it was great.....it feel great. Light, no pressure from the head straps......I recommend as number 1 in all the ones I have tried.

The point to remember on this seems to go lower size than the LT or what you are used to. You will get more air and no leaks.

I can't will let you know after I wear it a few weeks.....

My boss own a cpap company in canada and he has osa , he tried it and said it was pretty good. He tried hard to make it leak but said it held up pretty good. steve

I use the Swift LT and I'm very new to CPAP so it's the only mask I've ever tried. I also have problems with leakage which I have pretty well addressed with a chinstrap but I still can't sleep on my back without mouth blowouts. I'm wondering why you are able to use the Activa SoftGel without leakage. As I understand it, the Activa is a nasal mask as well as it leaves your mouth uncovered. Why are people successful with nasal masks like the Activa but not with nasal pillows like the LT and the new FX?

Nose angle, face shape, nare shape, nose shape--who knows? It is what it is!

Interesting that you are pleased with Apria. I have wanted to jump thru the phone at their ineptness(ineptitude?) for the last 2 months.
I have been forced to change DME's due to insurance change, and with my previous DME, I picked up the phone, pushed 1 #, and spoke to the same person EVERY TIME.
I've spent HOURS trying to talk to, and get satisfaction with making this change, and honestly hope I have to have little contact with them. THEY SHUCK, IMHO.
In defense of them, they have recently changed to a "call center" environment, and this just doesn't work. I hope they trash it.

They are SUPPOSED to call me when they get the FX in....we'll see.....

Wow--I am surprisded that you are having problems with Apria. I have Cigna and they have a Cigna number that I call that I talk to Apria directly and never have had a problem! They always send me extra stuff too like filters, hoses, an extra humidifier container --they are VERY good. NEVER had a problem. It might be your insurance coverage and not actual the Apria folks.

The mask looks great
It doesn't appear to have the capabliity of attaching over the head.
Does the hose swivel so one could if they wanted?

Yes, the hose swivels 360 degrees. The top of the head strap is not very wide, probably one reason why they didn't allow for hose attachment up there. Its also where the head strap is adjusted, and its kind of like a zip-tie, so its a little knobby and not flat like velcro straps. The hose would have to be off-center in order to attach up there unless they revised the strap entirely.

Does the fx leave marks on your face like the women's lt? My face has strap marks all the time. Does the fx fix this problem? I eve use the felt on the lt, but still get marks.

Happy for you that you have a good relationship....If I might ask, are you dealing with your local center, or the central call center.
I'm hoping that once I begin working with someone on the local level, it'll straighten out. I have United Health care, and they are new to me as well, so I don't know.

What is the MAX PRESSURE support by the SWIFT FX ?
Can one of you who bought this, tell me what the manual says about the max cm pressure rating ?


I am currently using the "SWIFT LT for her" which supports a max pressure of 20cm
the problem is my BiPAP settings are for a max pressure of 23 which leads to leaks.

If the new SWIFT FX supports 23cm or higher; I'll get one.
