I'm using a homemade hose management system with my FX and that helps a lot (I've done some tweaking to my orginal set up and will be blogging about it soon).

The hose hangs over my head, so the vent holes blow up at the ceiling instead of down on me. In addition, the angle of the hose in my hose manager helps the nasal pillows stay solidly in place, along the same idea as securing the LT hose on the top of the head. With the addition of UFO13's velcro fix, the pillows stay rock solid and I can move easily around in the bed.

I'm getting great nights of sleep and I don't have to come slightly awake to reposition the FX if I turn.

I was talking to a "mask expert" at a major university and he has OSA. He loves the Swift II and the LT, so I tried the Swift II and compared it to my Activa and the FX.

I did NOT like the FX as much as the Swift II. Why ? The Swift II straps did NOT pull up on my cheeks creating wrinkles under my eyes. That bar present on the Swift II made the straps further apart, thus by by passing my malar (cheek) areas.

A friend is gifting me a complete set of Swift LT in one week.

Thanks, cobra. I'll watch that again to see if I missed anything. I also wear a PAPcap, which throws another variable in the mix.
Tried the adjustment last night, and it was perfect! I don't cinch down the straps very tight at all, but I think they were still too tight. I loosened both straps, did the top first and then tightened the back strap down so it was JUST barely enough to prevent leaks. Worked great. I think my leak rate was 0.02 L/s, and that could just be from the difference of the vent rate compared to the "Swift" setting on my S8 Autoset II. The straps were farther away from my eyes. I also use Padacheek pads, so that adds a little bit of thickness to the straps. Thanks!
Sleep well and live better!

Well, I do have an issue with the FX. I so much want it to work out for me as it is such a light weight nice mask!! Does anyone else think the same as me that the cheek straps ride up very close to under your eyes and seem to push up to make MORE wrinkles under there???!!! LOL! I don't need more wrinkles. I have tried to adjust the top strap and back straps but it seems like maybe I have a face with puffy cheeks and it may not work for me. Let me know what guys think??

I'd love to try it, but it doesn't look like it has extra small pillows. Maybe they'll come out with the FX Swift for her.

Actually it does! I just emailed my DME to ask if they would send me some -- I'm having leaks with the small and I'm thinking they're a little too large for my nares. I'm hoping they're going to fit better... (They just don't come with the "set" -- they have to be ordered separately).

Tovi, there is no mask 'Swift FX for Her'. There's a Swift LT for her. Both masks DO come with an XS size.

The Swift FX is packaged with small, medium and large pillows. The extra small pillow is sold separately. (Just like Barbie accessories.)

All four sizes are included in the sample mask packages provided to salesmen and doctor's offices. These do not include things like a case or CD.

And if anyone has a new FX large pillow they don't need, I have a new extra small just waiting for a trade.

@ sleeplessinaz: I have the same problem as you with the FX, but it is so light and comfortable that I just put up with it. I ordered an Swift LT to see if I could adapt the head gear since it has an L shape to go under the eyes/cheeks but no luck. Maybe Resmed will make some upgrade to the wonderfull FX to make it the worlds best nasal pillow device. LOL

I just got my FX this past Monday. Four very good nights and I love it. Very comfortable, no leaks, and it is very easy to put on and take off.

I love the FX mask for its fit, comfort, compatibility w/ glasses and dashing good looks. I have found that my improvised (prototype) hose hanger has really helped. Here is a link to a pic of my protoype hose hanger
It is a 6-8" piece of fiberglass tent pole (or chopstick) set into a hole in a 1"x1" wood piece at 45 degree angle. 1x 1 sits on top of headboard and is attached to a flat piece of wood that goes behind headboard. A very thin and light duty bungie stretch cord (from West Marine) is essentially tied to the end of the chopstick. This was just a quick and dirty prototype to see if the concept and components worked. I figured that with the headboard I could fabricate something easily. Notice the 3M hanger in background which is not nearly as effective. I will need to do something nicer, more permanent now that I know I love it.

P.S. I wish I knew how to upload a picture here because then I would not need to ask you to navigate the hyperlink

Absolutely !! Right on. With the Swift II (and reportedly with the LT) the straps will not pull up on the cheeks. That bar spacer is very nice.

Hi--thanks for all the responses. I have tried the Swift II and it did not work well for me. That barrel piece was too big and I ALWAYS sleep on my side and that created leaks all over the place. My face and nose are not big enough to handle that barrel under the nose. If you have a broader face and bigger bbone structure --it would probably work. Plus the head gear was really made for the HULK! We women have smaller noggins so that headgear was way too big for me. I had to lap it over a few times in the back of the head. I ended up donating it to an individual that did not have insurance.

The Swift LT for her is my mask of choice--but since I got the Swift FX recently I was trying to give it a chance. I ordered the XS nasal pillows and those seem to work better for me than the small. On the LT I use the smalll pillows so Resmed did not size them the same. The jury is still out for me on the FX----as I usually keep going back to the Swift LT for her.

I have a set of extra small FX pillows and no takers yet on the Great Pillow Exchange. I'm looking for small FX pillows in exchange. The FX pillows have never been touched by (my) human hands.

Because of allergies, I prefer that the pillows don't come from a home where there's smoking or fragrances used (i.e. perfume, cologne, scented lotions, air fresheners, pot purri, etc.) anywhere near the pillows.

PM me if interested.

Resmed has just released a Swift FX for Her. It comes with x-small, small, and medium pillows, 2 headgear backstrapsin in pink and gray, 2 sets of soft wraps (pink and gray), and a pink travel pouch. It is such a little, insignificant thing, but I LOVE that it is girly pink! CPAP.com has it on their website, check under new masks. It is due to be released on Monday (9/13).
