yes Muse-Inc,
They should have told me... I will not deal with this DME in the future, I had very poor customer service support from them. No one came over to explain the features of my new Autoset II. There are better DME's in my area, I'm learning from personal experience.
This is why I love this cpaptalk.com board, I get very good information from other CPAP users!
Thanks for your input!
Very much appreciated!

But......according to ResMed (and the other manufacturers) and other brick & mortar sales advocates, THAT is why they can charge the exorbitant prices that they do. You're supposed to get more information and customer support from the brick & mortars than from the online sellers.

Granted, there ARE good ones......but except for the ones who post on this site, the "bad" ones seem to outnumber the good ones.

Hi Wulfman,
I truly agree on your points regarding DME's charging exorbitant prices that they do and not providing enough information to their customers!
I have turned on the Smart Start feature by changing the mask type to STD instead of MIR FULL in Settings in the Clinical menu, I like that I do not have to push the Start/Stop button, my machine starts automatically when I put the mask on and it stops when I take the mask off. I hope that I will get good result numbers tomorrow, I hope that there is not much difference. I also read that because of the anti-asphyxiation valve on the Quattro, the Autoset II disables the Smart Start feature when you select MIR FULL instead of STD. Resmed recommends that we select MIR FULL instead of STD if we have a Quattro mask, if I would have a Respironics or other type of mask, the setting would be set to STD and the Smart Start feature works on the machine! If I select MIR Full, the Smart Start feature does not work!

I found some information about enabling the Smart Start feature from a previous post when the Smart Start feature was disabled on a Resmed S8 Elite.
