What I am doing incorrectly? I have been trying to load this EP on three of my computers for a year and still not successfully done it. The latest OS is XP Pro.
I replaced the database but it still is looking for the database name.

If you have SQL previously installed, remove it.Reboot PC to ensure is gone.

copy all directories and files from CD to disk drive.
go to directory called /files/SQL 2005
delete SQLEXPR32.exe

go to : http://www.microsoft.com/DOWNLOADS/deta ... laylang=en scroll down and download file SQLEXPR.EXE with size 55.4 MB (both version in this file 32 and 64 bits.
Copy downloaded file into /files/SQL 2005 and change name to SQLEXPR32.exe

Run installation.

Choose under installation advanced.
You have tick two boxes, database and program.

You are redy to go.
I tick both boxes and the program is still looking for a database name or location???

The real trick is to get Encore Pro 2.2 working on a 64 bit OS. seems to be impossible for now...

Hi blakepro,

Believe me ... I am the furthest you can get from being computer savvy ... but ...

I believe that v1.8.69 was written for 64 bit ... why wouldn't v2.2 also be 64 bit capable?

By the way, congrats on scoring a copy of 2.2!

Jan

Oh I know, it seems downright silly doesn't it? Why would they take a step backwards like that?

I can confirm that I know several people with EP2.2 and none of them have been able to get it to install properly on a 64 bit system. I think it has to do with the SQL database portion of the install. and I suspect that if you could get the proper SQL database installed prior to installing EP2.2, you could use the advanced install option to skip the SQL install and just hook into the existing database. Thats all out of my scope of skills though and I would probably end up messing my computer up trying to do all that.

For now, the solution people have been doing is installing a virtual machine with windows XP 32 bit on it, and running the software from within that. Seems like an extremely boated process, but if it is your only option, then its nice to have it.

Do you have to take the SD card out of your CPAP every week in order to not lose daily details? The website my DME uses loses the daily detail after a week (it only stores and prints the last week's data).

I believe that is the case. The card only keeps the last 7 days of detailed data, so you would need to dump the data once a week if you want to have all of that on there.

Has anyone been using this long enough to know whether you can get AVERAGES over a specified period of time that YOU select, even though the Daily Details that will print will just be the last week's?

I'm not just sure what I did, but I do know that I was able to get Encore Pro to run on my Windows 7 64bit Home Premium machine. I do know (and I wish that I'd documented everything that I'd done) that the directions weren't completely correct for me. But it does work. Thanks for the path you setup Gregor.
