Raging at a cruel act done for fun seems to me like a good thing. Attacking - machines that choke you or people -uncontrolably because of your rage is what you need help on. And there's the problem of being cruel to other people - even if its not done for fun.
doubleg137,
Admitting you have a problem is the first step. You have just taken that. Getting help is the second step and getting it for the right reason.
You say that your anger comes from what your brothers did to you and that they actually thought it was funny. Probably a lot of that anger is because your parents didn't take it seriously enough. It's a good step to seek counseling to deal with the roots of your anger. The most important part to seek counseling for is... how you unconsciously transfer the poisen of that anger onto property and other people with demeaning remarks when you are feeling frustrated and angry.
There is nothing wrong with anger as it is an emotion that can also be used for good. As Ozji pointed out, we should feel anger at cruel acts done to anyone.
We can use what angers us to bring about needed changes, etc. The thing is we need to admit we were hurt or abused, forgive for the sake of our own health, and adapt healthier attitudes and ways to deal with things that stress us to the point of anger.
I'm sorry you had to endure that as a child but you can have victory over your past if you choose to want it bad enough. It will take time and perseverance but it will come... and you will feel this heavy load lifted off and you will experience freedom.
Best to you on your new journey, doubleg137
I will be rooting for you as you go through the steps to freedom,
Anne

Many/most of us carry scars from our childhood. (I have my share, too.)
Life ain't fair.....but it's "life"......and much of it is a learning experience......a "journey".....from the cradle to the grave.
WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED?

Do you want help with CPAP, obstructive sleep apnea and closely related issues?
Or do you just want to stink this forum up with bitter whining and vulgar language like you have done on various other forums?
If the former, start asking questions like you have some resolve and want to learn.
If the latter, please leave.

Hey doubleg, are you one and the same?

I will be finding another doctor's office this week. and getting a brand new setup at my cost. I will keep a post on any success or issues I may have. Until I have a question, I will try to not post anything new.

Until then - good luck.
And lots of people have trouble keeping their mask on in the beginning.
Some need to learn to strap their mask on comfortably.
Some need to change the way they route their hose so the mask no longer gets jogged out of place.
Some need to change to another mask - even same type masks are different.
Some need to adjust their pressure - its too low, or too high, or temporarily too high and they have to get used to it gradually - the discomfort of wrong pressure also makes people take off their mask.
Some need to change the humidifier setting - too much (or too little...) may cause congestion.
Some neet to stop using the ramp.
We have very specific tips - and there are no stupid cpap related questions on this forum.
