Thank goodness you changed your website. Because the old site was so user unfriendly, I ordered the wrong type of replacement nose pads and frame. Last night I went right to it. Now I have to pay a 15% return fee and postage. I don't think this is fair.

Is it possible to change the email topic reply notice "subject:" and "to:" headers from utf-8 back to ascii?
It's easier to filter stuff that way.

EDIT: Also I agree with Rested Gal - it would be nice to be in control of whether the cpapopedia entries show up at the bottom of your post.
Hey Dreamdiver and everyone,

The UTF-8 headers stay. Also, the mod you requested will be included in the next version. Sorry. I will add you to my friends list and try to remember to let you know when we add that mod. Probably within the next 60-90 days would be my guess.

We have changed the way the CPAPopedia works now. Instead of having the CPAPopedia show up in each post that contains keywords, it now shows all of the keywords on that page at the top of that page. Hope that helps some.

Also, the poll about where the login should be located is over. Leaving it "as is" was the winner of that poll.

huh??
Besides being totally off topic for this thread -- are you in the right place????
Nose Pads and frame sounds like you're ordering glasses......

I like the keywords at the top instead of each post -- good job!!!!

SleepPunk -- you guys have done and exemplary job of working out the kinks and taking care of our requests. I've rarely ever worked with a group that is so responsive......Generally by the time to code is in place and the conversion is done, it's bugs only!!! Period!!!
You folks did not take that tact and I'm sure that all of us appreciate it and I believe and I'm sure you would agree, we all have a better site because of it!!!!!!

Thanks again for all your efforts -- please accept a "cyber case of beer" from at least me, but I'm sure there are others that would jump on board with the "virtual cervesa".......

Take care
cheers

Could you let us know what kind of computer you have (Mac, PC, etc.) and what browser and operating system? Also, what screen resolution you are using on your monitor? I tried to replicate the issue you described with the quotes and could not replicate.
The left side of the gray background for the quote box, and the quotation marks, go UNDER an ativar and are not seen, but OVER the ID area when there is no ativar. I'm using a PC, XP SP2, IE 6.0.29, screen res 1280 x 1024 on a Dell E173FP with Intel G33/G31 Express Chipset Family driver.
Ok, it looks like IE 6 is not rendering the site (CSS code) properly.

If anyone else is having this issue, I would suggest upgrading to the latest version of Internet Explorer, which should resolve the problem.
You can do so here at the official Internet Explorer site. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/produc ... fault.mspx

We may try to debug this at some point in version 2 of the new CPAPtalk, but this is not certain so it is probably best to upgrade your browser. Hope this helps.

Woo hoo for the legend.

But especially a BIG THREE CHEERS FOR THE ENTIRE CPAPTALK.COM TEAM!! Or how about a 21 HOSE SALUTE?
Ditto to what Goose said - it's been amazing to see how fast you guys have responded to bugs, but also how open you have been to making changes based on our (for sure annoying) comments and feedback! What's even more neat is that you don't even make any money off of any of us (well maybe that's not entirely accurate ), yet you take the time and effort to make this forum usable and inviting to everyone, all for the purpose of helping us sleep better at night. What could be nobler than that?? THANK YOU!!

I hope you're all having a great weekend!

I posted something, changed my mind and deleted it - no one had responded to it, so that was possible. Later on someone else posted on that thread.
Got a topic reply notification despite no longer being a poster on the thread when the notification was sent.

Maybe this has been answered, but my question is- what happened to the view posts since last login?

This was very helpful in that you did not have to look at all the previous posts.

thanks.

When I click User control panel to update my info, I get a message

Safari could not open the page “https://www.cpaptalk.com/ucp.php?” because the server is not responding

although I don't have that problem when I view my posts, look at members, or use any other feature. I will try Firefox in case that helps. I'm using a Macbook OS 10.4.11, don't know if that helps (and don't know any more than that about the computer, sorry!)

Lost and/or disappearing posts Part II :

The following posts by Snoredog in these threads:

viewtopic.php?f=1&t=33596&p=285807#p285807
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=33733&p=286639#p286639
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=33966&p=289035#p289035
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=33769&p=287449 (last 2 posts from Snoredog on that page)
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=23104&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=15

...it seems to happen when he does a reply with quotes included. The quote shows up, including his sig & equipment, but not the text itself. Weird. Maybe there are more but I stopped after a few pages. I've seen it happen to others, the one from my earlier post was for Jsmythe. The problem should be pretty easy to reproduce, no? Just reply to someone else's post with your comments inline. I wonder if it was related to the forum upgrade.

And I'm pretty sure he's not deleting his OWN posts

EDIT: I found another disappearing post and it wasn't Snoredog : viewtopic.php?f=1&t=33630&st=0&sk=t&sd= ... 15#p288705

Whew that was a fun search

An interesting bug! In the subject of notification msgs

Post by feeling_better » Sat Aug 23, 2008 4:53 pm

All the notification msgs I get have the thread subject in the subject line. I see here a space has been added after the 20th character of all the subjects! An unusual and interesting addition

Here's a wish list item, Johnny. I often wish for a little "Post It" thing when going through posts so I can find them later. Not a typing tag that gets lost in a cloud but a button just to flag it (unique to user) then search and clear my flags later.
