Hi JimH
Near Chelmsford in the county of Essex, about 40 miles north east of London. It's very unlikely a passing tourist will stumble across the village as it's not on the route to anywhere

Sounds absolutely charming! Perhaps the forum should arrange for a field trip to Little Baddow. (Of course, you may have to build a new electricity substation to accommodate our cpaps....)

Hey big baddow,

I managed to drive through Chelmsford. Traveling to England twice, both on month long trips (1982 and 1986). The second time I was old enough to rent a car and learned to drive on the left. Love England would like to go back someday. Along the way we went to Bath, Bristol, and up to Carlisle, Edinburgh and Glasgow ( my grandmother was from there, and I still have distant relatives there )

Hey, I think we should plan that field trip!
Got room for us??

BuffaloAl can do the driving!
I'll handle the maps! (being a mapmaker, and all)

.... and I'll lay on the tea and cream cakes

Mind you, if you all wear your masks, the locals would think we were a convention of Star Wars fans

Think of the fine reputation you'd be getting!
(Or, your neighbors might think you are nuts. Either way, you'd be famous.)
