I still like the strapless with the little zzz's...
Well, of course you would with a name like zzzzzz!!

Seriously, that one is my favorite too. I think zzz is a pretty universally accepted sleep description.

I'd buy a t-shirt Taz!

Me too. I have been looking for a shirt for the AWAKE group I go to.
Go for it.

Wow, love the Tshirts Taz!

I WANT ONE!

I can't decide between the two "Got OSA, Get Hosed" ones. brilliant!!

Probably the "Got CPAP " could use an additional front or back thing.

love it, just love it!! wonderful thread too, Babs

I'll keep twiddling with designs and posting them for review as I have time. I have an idea for a front and back design that I just haven't had time to fully work up yet. Will be very tongue in cheek when perfected.

Do it....I want a shirt with one of those designs on it. It'd be hard to pick which one though.

I'd like one that says something like:

Breathing is good. OSA Awareness.

Here are a few I found at cafepress. Most are for RT's though.

Most of the ones there are fairly lame. I heart apnea? Please. No one loves having this affliction!

I'm giving up on the computer and going back to what I do best. Freehand primitive drawings. If I come up with anything suitable, I'll let you know.

I might just make one with text however from my personal best quote:

I'll take oxygen over sex any day--
(but sex is good too)
I just have priorities.

Taz,

I will buy one of your shirts if you make them big enough (remember OSA has alot of obese victims!). I like the one that says "Got OSA" "Get Hosed" with just the ZZZZZZZZ's (no cpap machine). Maybe you could make enough to buy a new mask!

Tee hee indeed! I love the way your mind works, Jen.

I imagine the "Got CPAP?" on the front w/ Tazzz's logo and "Breathing is good. OSA awareness" on the back.

I will buy ... a few

So, what kind of software should I look for that isn't too expensive but will do basic drawing/photo editing and will save to any format I want?

The problem I'm running into, is microsoft picture it will not let me manipulate things the way I want or save files into the format I want. I can't make a new project with art or text without starting as a blank project fixed to a piece of paper--when i just want it to be a digital file. It is very frustrating.

Any suggestions? I am soooo out of the loop here. But I learn new software fast.

Thanks Jen, here is the one I like best http://www.cafepress.com/buy/apnea/-/pv ... g_/c_/fpt_. No doubt the model is wearing a device to help with GERD. I will print it out and ask my gastroenterologist about prescribing one for me.

Why thank you everyone for the glowing comments. I will definitely set up a shop on CafePress as soon as time allows. I actually have to do some work today dang it!

I will take any and all suggestions for designs... I have a few more ideas of my own but need to carve out some time to really work at them.

1) a play on the old "wax on, wax off" of Karate Kid fame. My version would be "Hose on, Hose off" with the front being some variant of the face wearing the CPAP mask with the sleepy zzzzz's and the back being a face with mouth gaping, tongue flapping and snoring like a freight train.

2) haven't really worked this idea out in my head but the words would be something like "Do you snore? .... Go blow it up your nose!" or something along those lines anyway... I'll figure it out...

3) my favorite idea by far (an also the hardest to draw effectively) is one I'm calling "Hosehead Twister" just imagine a couple of us playing Twister complete with mask, hose and machine and you'll get the idea...

ibthebest: I'll make sure they have big sizes... if they don't already have them we can start a email campaign to convince them. Or... worst comes to worst I'll find another way of getting big sizes printed up. I mean... afterall... I wear a 3X myself these days and was once as big as 6X so I know how annoying it is to see cool T-shirts and not be able to wear them 'cuz they're made for Barbie and Ken.

BTW...

I'm also going to work up some more "serious" designs as well...

definitely plan to do something with cpap hose ribbon concept...

something with the OSA awareness, etc concept as well...

not sure what else but I'll post things as I go along.

I like all those ideas! #1 brings funny images to mind #2 is good too.

And I'm definitely going for the "ribbon" made up of a hose! Too funny! You could make cufflinks in those as well!!

Oooohhh and STICKERS. I LOVE STICKERS Gotta make those too (note to socknitser and drummergirl here too!). One for the CPAP machine, one for your forehead for when you go into surgery.....

ohhh or water-based tatoos??

iron-on patches for jeans and the CPAP bag??

cookie cutters for the OSA awareness bake sales?

ah ok ahem sorry got carried away there.
