I like all those ideas! #1 brings funny images to mind #2 is good too.
And I'm definitely going for the "ribbon" made up of a hose! Too funny! You could make cufflinks in those as well!!
Oooohhh and STICKERS. I LOVE STICKERS Gotta make those too (note to socknitser and drummergirl here too!). One for the CPAP machine, one for your forehead for when you go into surgery.....
ohhh or water-based tatoos??
iron-on patches for jeans and the CPAP bag??
cookie cutters for the OSA awareness bake sales?
ah ok ahem sorry got carried away there.

There's a page called Vskins where you can customer design these nice vinyl stickers to go on any style of phone/ipod/laptop whatever, you could stick a design on one of those too! The possibilities are endless.

Tas,
You are really talented. I like all your ideas. What software do you use?

Thought I could contribute to the international symbol, but realized I was out of my league. I've got Paint Shop Pro and haven't learned it well enough yet. It's been fun looking at all the ideas thusfar. My contribution won't be missed!
The subject of shirts and even jewelry comes up every year or so. Some past ideas were quite entertaining also. I actually followed through and put some shirts online for sale, and I think my daughter still has some listed on Amazon thru her company YoursOnDemand. I do want to someday add some new ones, like maybe "Breathing Addict" or "SRS - Society of Reformed Snorers".
But there's been so many good ideas for shirts and other awareness items mentioned over time, it would be great for the "cause" to see them everywhere. I'm waiting to see the jewelry - earrings with french hooks would work for me. Hey - how about a replica of the Respironics button on a necklace and earrings? I wear lots of blue.

How about a link in the Collective Wisdom section to CPAP accessory vendors :
- includes PurSleep & Padacheeks & Snugglehose
- people who make / have made shirts, jewelery etc (like Kathy's daughter)...
what do you think?

I made little nametags for some of us forum folk to wear at a conference in Seattle. They said "Be an Informed Patient -
http://www.cpaptalk.com". I also made little cards saying that, and passed them out to people at the conference.
Don't know that I've seen anyone posting here from that conference, but they might be lurking.
Cheers,
B.

Now that sounds like some kind of new-fangled religious order.
. . . And I do seem to be having more "euphoric" experiences now that I'm not killing brain cells by my failure to breath.
Thanks for the pics everyone. Hoseheads are a talented bunch of people.

ACK! Where'd you get that pic of me?
LOL,
B.
I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula.

OK, that is my contribution. It probably sucks--not the design exactly but the execution. I can't afford the fancy software, so I had to do the best I could with microsoft picture it which has severe limitations. I had to trick it into doing a few diff things by saving it to paint as a jpg file so I could change and refine it the best I could. If anyone thinks they like it and could clean the image up a bit, I'd be all for that. It took me waaaay longer than it should have because of software snafus. I think it would have been faster to draw it on paper, scan and then clean it up! If I had the right software doing stuff like this would be fun, not a pain! I do love a challenge, though!
