Ask again in 10, 20 or 30 years.

At 8 hours per day, that works out to 3.3, 6.6 or 10 years, respectively, of continuously inhaling essential oil vapors in a closed respiration circuit.

We'll have a much better idea of the safety then, courtesy of the "field testers" now using the product.

(why don't you registar and let us know who you really are instead of hiding behind the "guest" title?)

Why don't you stop focusing on my identity and start focusing on my points?

For the record, I have absolutely zero interest in this product succeeding or failing, and have no connection to it, any competitors, or anything else related *whatsoever*. That I simply choose and prefer to post as a Guest doesn't change the points I make one bit. You're welcome to address those points, thank you.

Not really interested in arguing your points. Don't much care for arguing at all. Just don't understand why you like to hide behind the anonymity of the internet. That's the only point I've mentioned, I think.

Since this thread's officially a free-for-all, a few more random responses . . .

To: Motoapco25 - Your moniker intrigues me. What's your connection with APCO25?

To: DSM - Tar-brush? Is this a common Aussie idiom?

To: Rabid1 - Yesterday was a bad day, huh?

To: Telly - WTF?

To: Tkuentz - I agree with you about A-holes.

To: -SWS - How about that ASV? Pretty something, huh?

To: jennie_len - Love your avatar.

OK, I feel better now.

Regards,
Bill

With so many truly "unsafe" products and activities in the world, I don't understand this hysteria about some little essential oils.

Smoking, excessive drinking, drugs, meth, speeding, mountain climbing, war, too much ice cream, etc. etc. etc...., and Christine picks on essential oils. Jeez, give me a break.

I agree with Rabid (that name is so suitable, I think). Just wish I had the balls to write it.

If I wanted Big Brotha or Motha making my health decisions for me, then I would ask.

To Bret, good luck to you, and hopefully if your "friends" ask you to send them some oils, you will respond.

To Christine, get a life or find something worthwhile to vent your frustrations on.

Thank you, Linda! This whole thing reminds me of Chicken Little. And I can't help equating the self-righteous comments of the finger pointers to the accusers in the Salem witch trials.

I’ve been pondering a thought.

Of all those who leaned so hard on the possible negative aspects of the Pur-Sleep system and pushed so hard to save the world with the unrelenting campaign, I ask the following: (and be really honest with yourself) Are you at risk of heart disease because of obesity? Are your arteries clogged with cholesterol because of your food choices? Is your blood pressure higher than 120 over 80? Do you smoke? Do you drive or ride in an automobile on public roads? If you answered yes to any or all of the above, you need to start a “witch hunt” on yourselves before berating something as harmless as the Pur-Sleep system. It is my opinion your life is already at far greater risk than the Pur-Sleep system could ever present. If the tests conclude his product is safe to use, everyone who publicly attacked it needs to offer a big and sincere apology to Bret.

Kinda liked Bill's attempt to lighten the thread up a bit with humor. On that note, let's not forget that 1960's Sydney Pointier movie, "To Sir. with Love".

Now Bill, that protagonist was an engineer, but I don't think he had apnea.

blah blah blah blah blah....

Did everyone miss all the points in all the threads about us being adults in deciding what types of products we choose to buy and use? I'm 32 years old and out of the gazillions products I've had in my household, consumed, etc If I haven't found that 'special' allergy yet then chances are I haven't got that special allergy. Yes I know there are many many people who do, and I feel for those. But those people with those allergies already know they have them and already know what products they should be leary on purchasing.

Yea theres probably a one in a million chance that someone somewhere will use Bretts product and have some sort of anaphylactic shock. There's also that same chance that one of us' xpap machines will go apeshit in the night and blow out our eardrums and cause some braindamage or something. Or our nice little microwave sitting pretty in the kitchen will unknowingly grow a nice big tumor somewhere in your body.. Oh and FDA FDA FDA .. IT needs FDA approval.. Seems like we keep reading about medicines that are recalled or pulled constantly that were FDA approved then oops, they are killing too many people so now lets take it off the market. We are surrounded by products that all have chances of screwing us up. Thats just life man.

Christinequilts probably sends the same rants/letters to all manufacturers of any packaging that doesn't list her corn thing on the package of cotton balls she purchased or something similar. I understand her point of it all, but girl you kinda went too far and really too far with your victory dance...

Brett.... Love the system man.. Do what you gotta do to make yourself and your company safe and more reassured, legally and mentally.. Just don't let them screw you bigtime in $$$$ for something that is already a good product man.

Peace out.

First,
NightHawkeye wrote:To: DSM - Tar-brush? Is this a common Aussie idiom?
Actually I think he was referring to a somewhat olde but popular english phrase: "tarred with the same brush" meaning: "guilty of the same behavior, or acting in the same manner as someone else, or likely to be considered the same as someone else because of similar behavior"

Second:
Lyza wrote:one of us' xpap machines will go apeshit in the night
Great! Now I'm gonna lay awake nights worrying about my machine going ape"poop" and killing me. Like I didn't have enough things keeping me up at night already.... Well, maybe I'll just have to put an extra dose of tangerine/vanilla in tonight to get my mind off that one

I missed the origins of this "debate". If Bret did no R&D-Christine probably did him a favor considering the litigenous nature of our society.

A bong huh! ... I haven't seen one of those in years ... perhaps pre-OSA days

Maybe if everyone had one of those we would all just be groov'in to the PAP machine instead of acting silly ... or is that the other way around

Bret,

I hope your testing is successful and QUICK. I really enjoy your products. I am already running low of FRESH and I have only had it for week and half. Faith user of the wonderful PurSleep system.
