Many Bugs don't come out until the lights are turned out. Also you need to have the most tasty food to feed them, if they eat bits, maybe we need tastier one's and zero's to get them out in the open. Jim
The lights are out, for sure, otherwise these critters wouldn't be causing this slow down, heh.
99 bugs of line in the code, 99 bugs of line in the code, you take one down, pass it around 155 bugs of line in the code.

Also this is for Pugsy, can you let Carolyn know that we've had bots logging into the message board as well? Usually between 10 PM and 1:00 AM Pacific Time, you start to see them logged in. Not sure if it's a correlation or not.

We have always had a lot of bot activity. Mostly just gathering whatever they gather for search engine kind of stuff.
I see them all the time...day or night. I got tired of looking them up.
The bot activity isn't the cause of the problem. It's something deeper in the forum software program and it's still not fixed yet though I assume they are trying. No SQL errors since early this morning but I am still caught in the double post reply loop.

PITA!

I haven't had the logging out problem but it is slower than it used to be a long time ago for me...but a bit faster than it has been since the anomaly started a few days ago. I never know about my internet speed because of where I live. It is sometimes fast and sometimes dial up speed fast which is a 3 legged turtle speed. So sometimes everything is slow and sometimes not and I just live with it. I have satellite for internet and it just depends on the satellite position and probably usage.

I am still getting caught in the double posting loop that I have to back out of though but I am seeing it faster. So far no SQL kind of errors today.

I suspect that this isn't going to be an easy or quick fix.

We have cable internet, but it might be time to take the boxes in to be replaced.
They are a whole 5 months old.

Depends on how much of the original PHPBB code was modified for the CPAP dot com website. If there was minor independent coding injected, then an update/patch to the forum software should be an easy fix. If however the Independent coding the was injected was more complex, that might be an issue.

A misaligned fobberwizzer also could be the cause

Exchange the defective doowhacky with the misaligned thingamabobber.
It all balances out.

Hey guys and gals while I know it's fun to poke fun...can we get back to actual reporting of persistent symptoms????

Some updates to the forum software have been done. I had a brief time yesterday where my issues were resolved but then they all returned last night and are still present this morning.

Anyone else still having issues and if so...what are they? Try to be specific. Remember to fix a problem we first have to identify the problem.

I still have the double posting loop I get into with a reply and I see the "someone has posted" message and the someone is me and it won't let me out of it unless I just back out.

I am getting the "I am not a robot" prompt often.

I am still getting SQL error messages...just got one about an hour ago.

And yes...response time to do anything is still slow.

Everything's slow loading... but when I post + hit Submit now, I wait a minute and it 'takes', so I don't get the double post or message saying I can't do it, etc.

Yeah, the robot question comes up, and I kill the window to get rid of it.
I still have to log in every once in a while.

Still getting the - "At least one new post has been made to this topic. You may wish to review your post in light of this". New post is mine.
Every time. So far.
