No problem Zonker. I’m just glad you are all here to help and so generous in spirit. I have an appointment tomorrow with a sleep tech who is going to teach me about Oscar. Once I’m more educated I will be back to pick your very experienced brains via a new thread. Thank you.

you are entirely welcome.

if i may make a suggestion? don't start a new thread at this time. it's easier for the experts to keep track of you if you stay in the same thread for a little bit.

what you CAN do is edit the title of this thread. you could name in, for instance, "lozamans therapy thread" or some such. this doesn't mean you can't post other threads in the future. just for now.

anyway, good luck!

ETA: please forgive me, i didn't notice this isn't your thread.

what i SHOULD have said was, please start your own thread and the experts here can help you.

Can I still stay in this thread? You guys have been so very helpful! Lozaman and I are both newbies. Or does it make it confusing having two newbies together?

Again thank you all experienced people for your patience and kindness!

Lozaman should start their own thread for their therapy questions, that doesn't mean y'all can't post topic appropriate things in each others threads, of course.

How about we change the topic subject to "Olredhair's therapy record thread" since the bathroom stuff has been resolved.
That's pretty much what it has evolved to and it is commonly done.
You can change it yourself by editing the first post you made or I can do it for you if you can't figure it out.
Once you get bored with this thread and don't really want to mess with it then you can let it die and later if you have another question you can either start a new thread or revive this one.

For now it helps us when we have just one thread to review and keep straight in our minds as to what has already been talked about or said. After a couple of months and you are an old hand at all this...it won't be so important because by then most of your questions will have been answered.

My first two weeks with my new CPAP machine. It looks pretty good to me. Any comments, suggestions, recommendations?

Thank you so much!

The numbers look real good.
How are you sleeping and feeling?

Generally I’m sleeping and feeling well. The two nights I only got 5.3 hours of sleep, I felt like crap the next day. This new CPAP machine is encouraging me to get more sleep. I have started going to bed an hour earlier. I think that’s part of the reason I feel better too.

Short nights where we don't get as much sleep as the body needs....we are going to feel like crap but it's not from the sleep apnea stuff.
It's from not enough sleep. Duh....amazing how some people still can't get that through their heads.
You have that part figured out.

The sleep will come with time and experience as long as other stuff doesn't mess with it.
You are so far ahead of where I was at this stage of things. Doing extremely well IMHO and I wouldn't change anything.
Just work on getting those extra hours whenever you can and it will come.
Yes, you are going to have nights where you don't get as much sleep as the body needs. Stuff happens.
You shrug your shoulders and know that you might see a nap in your future if you can and move on.

I think you are doing super great.
