Thank you, Zonker. Good to remember that there are sometimes things that are just beyond our control with software. I will see what tomorrow brings. Maybe I will see the missing night and then then tonight with some good results from my pressure change. Interesting that Katestyles also had the same issue.

<r>Last night was my first foray into changing my pressure myself. I changed it from a pressure of 10 to 12. I was hoping to be able to post a Sleepyhead report today but again, it is not uploading the data and doesn't seem to be recognizing my sd card. (No prompt appears to tell me to eject "No Name" card.) I have checked to make sure that the DME is receiving the data....they are....and checked to make sure that I have the card unlocked when in my machine, and locked when I am using it with my computer. I did.<br/>
<br/>
So, the only results I can report here are the results from my machine:<br/>
<br/>
Hours of sleep: 7.5<br/>
AHI: 13.0<br/>
Periodic breathing: 4%<br/>
90% pressure: 15.5<br/>
<br/>
I can report that I fell asleep after a short time, then woke about 2 1/2 to 3 hours later with uncomfortable Aerophagia and a sore top of my ear where a mask (F30) strap was pressing on it and some leaks. I got up and expelled as much air as I could and took a Tums tablet. Went back to bed with the mask (F30) on and slept for another 3 hours or so. Felt pretty awful when I woke up. My eyes were puffy and I still felt a bit bloated. <br/>
<br/>
Don't know if others are having trouble importing Sleepyhead data? I know that Katestyles had the same problem yesterday. <br/>
<br/>
<B><s></s>Question<e></e></B>: Should I continue with the pressure at 12 or should I back off and raise it more gradually?<br/>
<br/>
<B><s></s>Question<e></e></B>: I am a bad mouth breather and each time I wake up from using the N30 (ffm) I have the most awful dry mouth. Should I try taping mouth under the mask? I am pretty good at taping as I have been doing it with all the other non ffm that I have tried.</r> Question: Is it bad to be mouth breathing in a full face mask???

Oh gracious. I am so sorry my previous post is so hard to read. I had saved it as a draft as I didn't want to lose it (as happened once before) Would love to have some information on how to avoid this happening again. Thank you all you "patient with new members people!"

My sleepy head loaded last night's data, but still refuses to read Sunday night.

The data IS on the card, because I read it with a different program (Resscan)

Greentree - have you tried closing down sleepyhead and starting it up again? Sometimes its brains need a reboot.

It might help the arophagia to change pressure gradually, but you might also need to use some exhale relief. With your AHI, you almost certainly need to increase the pressure.

I'm not sure on this one. My mouth was awful dry this morning after a night taped shut.

Not at all. That is the whole point of a full face mask.

i've done offline composing then posted it here. but i use a generic little online app at memonotepad.com. i don't embed anything in it, just straight typing.

i then highlight it, right click the mouse, choose copy. then open up the text box here then right click, paste and it's done.

you'll get the hang of it.
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

When I shut down SH I just hit the red close button.

Regarding data issues.
  • There is no need to write-protect your SD Card when putting it into your computer. Not unless you have a Resmed S9. Unlock your SD Card and keep it that way. SleepyHead doesn't write to the card, Windows may write thumbnails and index files, and Macs will write some dot files, but they're no big deal.
  • For missing days, go to the day where data is missing. Select Menu / Advanced / Purge Current Selected Day, then re-import.
  • Consider rebuilding the data. I have only seen it suggested, never had the need to need, so do so at your own peril. Select Data / Rebuild CPAP Data / then select your machine.

I am going to let you try it first. Let us know if it worked and then I will try it!

Dogslobber, thanks for weighing in on my Sleepyhead issues. I think I have been doing what Katestyles suggested to shut it down and then open up. I use the Sleepyhead menu and click on "Quit Sleepyhead" every time I am finished with it. Then when I want to re-enter the program, I just click on the icon which is on my desktop and then click on "open". I think this must be the equivalent of shutting down and re-opening. Do you agree?

Also grateful for the info on the SD card. I will make sure that I unlock the card before I put it back in my apap tonight and leave it that way when I put it in my computer tomorrow. Somewhere in the Sleepyhead Wiki info I think it said to unlock and lock and I thought we all had to do that.

Hoping I can retrieve my missing two nights of data from Sleepyhead. I feel like my forward momentum is in disarray if I can't get any data to post on the forum. I am going to wait and see if it worked for Katestyles. If she has success on her pc, I will give it a try on my mac.

I did this - I took the SD card OUT of the computer first, then used the advanced menu. Sleepyhead was then very happy to import my data.
If you had your SD card locked when you put it in the CPAP it will not have written any information to the card.

Not too much of a loss though - there is always tonight.
