In addition you may want to consider something like a week of camping...

Feeling tired during the day and experiencing insomnia at night may have influences beyond the drugs you are taking. Getting back into rhythm improves the probability of experiencing successful sleep.

OK, so last night strange things happened.

I set the max pressure at 18, thinking it would be a way to reduce the aerophagia. Min was set at 15. I figured Pugsy was right - some therapy was better than no therapy.

I set up a pile of wedge pillows and arranged my self with plenty of incline, to avoid acid reflux. I woke a few times in the night to release excess gas - I had felt the sphincter let the gas into my stomach twice before I fell asleep.

I woke at about 7, took of my mask and turned off the machine.

I felt that I had had a reasonable night, no acid reflux, no pain from aerophagia, and only minimal leaking.

When I pulled up the report from MyAir on my phone at work, I was shocked to see I had only slept 2 hours.

I just got home, pulled my data card and ran it through Sleepyhead.

Does anyone else see my machine pushing to 20cm when it had a max setting of 18, or is it my eyesight? And then the machine "switched off" except I don't believe it did. I was aware of flow all night.

My hubby said he heard the machine cranking up to full pressure several times, particularly at around 2am.

I think this machine may be faulty.

Google Strengthen LAS. Lotta hits. Things to consider:
  • Avoid foods that weaken the LES
  • Breathing exercises
  • Use a breath trainer that strengthens inhalation and exhalation, goal is to encourage breathing from diagram instead of the shallow breathing many of fall into.
Interesting info on breath trainer: https://www.pnmedical.com/therapeutic-u ... eep-apnea/
ResMed S9 range 9.8-17, RespCare Hybrid FFM

Is the machine still showing less hours of use than when you are pretty darn sure you did use the mask and machine?
What about last night?

I play French Horn and sing, so my breathing is pretty much trained to use my diaphragm - when I am awake

I keep v1.0.0 and v1.1.0 of sleepyhead on my computer but mostly use v1.1.0. Occasionally when I see an anomaly, I load the data into v1.0.0.

It's rare, but it does happen. Sometimes deleting the days data and re-importing clears things up.

They've always been one-offs, so I don't really worry about them.

Oh my gosh that so happened to me! I woke up one morning, and my watch was 6 hours behind where it should be, and my CPAP had a 6 hour data gap!

The machine shows the 1h 58 minutes that the sleepyhead shows.

My husband remembers the machine being on for longer than that. So do I.

Last night I got 8:49 usage hours, AHI 1.1, pressure stayed reasonable low (like 17) all night)

I don't have the screenshot, coz I am at work. I'll post it tonight.

It's possible that there was some sort of glitch in the machine that caused it to report shortened number of hours to be stored in its internal memory and at the same time gets written to the software. Corruption within the machine files of some sort.
If it's random and rare I wouldn't worry about it but if it starts becoming a pattern I would alert the machine supplier to the problem.

Since the machine is showing same number of hours as SH...can't blame it on just a corrupted file that SH is using....the blame has to be with the machine itself.

Just watch it closely and see if it happens again.

Just a little concerned since it did this right back in the early days in january - and going higher than the max pressure was set makes me wonder if the machine is just flaky.

I would watch it closely...fluke things can get reported and it might have been a SH bug in action (which is why I would have used ResScan to confirm what I saw it doing).

If I started to see a pattern of weird stuff and ResScan confirms the weird stuff...then I alert the machine supplier because it shouldn't be doing weird stuff.

If it bugs you a lot right now though....alert the machine supplier right now. Your peace of mind is critical to this stuff.

My Hubbyhead software said that the CPAP was suddenly noisy at 12.20am and that I was restless at 3.20 and again at 5.
