and they've got palerider too! oh, what has happened to that fair haired young devil i used to know?
I noticed that when I looked through things this morning. Either the aliens got him or he really is the devil and is able to change his form at will.

Growing old is mandatory, but growing up is optional.

Question. Should the CPAP record 6 sessions if I do not switch it on and off? I switched off at 20:44 - but not when the other gaps were recorded. The gaps also show in Resscan, so it is not just sleepyhead quirks.

I see two sessions and some data glitches.

data glitches... it happens. Worrying about it won't change it.
The machine didn't turn off all those times, because it didn't start back at your minimum and ramp up.

If those glitches continue....if it were me I would be complaining to the supplier.
The machine should not be doing that.
Might try a new SD card though....on the off chance the SD card might have some bad sectors or something on it.
I am starting to lean towards your gut feeling....something weird is going on with the machine. Too much weird crap happening to suit me.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.

I do worry, because of the night that the glitch lasted 6 hours.
I will hope that the sleep study this weekend puts me onto a new machine - If so, I can express my concerns about this machine when I return it. If the study does not get me a bilevel, then I will express my concerns and push for a new one.

That is an easy fix to try. Thanks Pugsy.

Is the air flow supposed to pulse? I have just put on my Bleep mask, and the machine is doing that low pressure thing it does after you turn it off, and the air flow is coming out in little spurts - if I put my finger in the end of the tube where the mask joins on, it goes "puff, puff, puff, puff" rather than having a smooth continuous flow.
If I join it to my mask, the vent does the same pulse thing on the exhale.

Not supposed to pulse....or at least I never had that happen.
Now the vented air will increase and decrease the amount of flow depending on inhale and exhale and if EPR is being used....but that pretty obvious that it pertains to my own inhale and exhale.
The air flow from the machine doesn't fluctuate.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.

The machine isn't supposed to 'spurt', when you turn it off, if you've been using humidification, then it runs at a low rate for a while to cool down the tank, and dry the hose.
If you don't have humidification turned on, then it's *off*, no airflow, as soon as you hit the 'stop' button.
Do you have water in your hose?

OK, so last night strange things happened.
When I pulled up the report from MyAir on my phone at work, I was shocked to see I had only slept 2 hours.
I just got home, pulled my data card and ran it through Sleepyhead.

Does anyone else see my machine pushing to 20cm when it had a max setting of 18, or is it my eyesight? And then the machine "switched off" except I don't believe it did. I was aware of flow all night.
My hubby said he heard the machine cranking up to full pressure several times, particularly at around 2am.
I think this machine may be faulty.
I have an SD Card in my Respironics and there have been times when I loaded it into SleepyHead, not all the data would show. I learned to pull the card and re-insert and then the full night would show. FWIW.
I read your complete thread tonight and Pugsy alluded to the oxygen saturation. I had been asking myself the whole time I read your thread, What if any is the de-saturation levels you have experienced......and have you had any Oximetry tests (sp02) since your original sleep studies? It may or may not have something to do with your inability to wake up easily.
I wear a full mask and just as a thought....I found that if I tighten the straps too tight, if flattens the seal and actually creates mask leak when I move around a lot. Wearing the mask a little loose allows the seal to flex upon movement without breaking the seal. Those were just a couple of my thoughts. Sounds like you are working hard to make it work, good luck.

If I were you, I"d call ResMed and talk to Tech Support. That is not normal behavior.
