Re: CPAP Help: Feel suffocation.
Yep. You may need a little more pressure with a full face mask. I have never used a nasal mask, so I don't have that experience. But with the ideal settings for you, a full face mask should be just as successful as any other mask. I went from an ahi of 79+ to less than 1.5 with a full face mask. And I have experienced improvements in my health and my sleep that I did not expect. I wish I had done it 10 years (or more) earlier.coldsideofpillow wrote: ↑Sat Mar 02, 2019 11:26 pmso it should be as effective as breathing through my nosepalerider wrote: ↑Sat Mar 02, 2019 10:56 pmWell, ya know, the point of a FFM is so that you can breathe through your mouth, should you desire to.coldsideofpillow wrote: ↑Sat Mar 02, 2019 10:50 pmdo you think mouthbreathing all night with the dreamwear full face mask will affect my therapy’s effect on making me feel better?

Who would have thought it would be this challenging to sleep and breathe at the same time?

Re: CPAP Help: Feel suffocation.
thanks for the info. i raised my pressure from 8 to 9 and i slept ok with it. didnt seem to take it off at night like the first 2 nights with my new mask but hey its like that.
im not sure if its placebo or its just me. but i felt like i was waking up better with my old N10 nasal mask. its not completely horrible the way i wake up or bad but i caught myself yawning and a little more tired than on the nasal. maybe im just paying too much attention to it since its my new mask?
do you guys think i should increase more pressure?
n10 nasal mas: pressure of 8
dreamwear full mask(currently using): 9
would increasing pressure make me feel better?

I was able to get my hands on an Auto Set Resmed 10 today and was wondering how should I proceed with this new machine to be able to get you guys the charts with Sleepyhead. Should I use my old pressure settings or use the Auto set feature?
Ill figure out how to use sleepyhead and get you guys the charts I was just wondering about the pressure what to do. thanks!

I would put your old fixed pressure as the min pressure, and leave the max at 20coldsideofpillow wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2019 5:01 pmI was able to get my hands on an Auto Set Resmed 10 today and was wondering how should I proceed with this new machine to be able to get you guys the charts with Sleepyhead. Re: CPAP Help: Feel suffocation.
Your numbers look great, one event was with a large leak. Do you need to use ramp ? I would increase the ramp start pressure to 7 or turn it off completely.
Or did you turn it off during your break between 4:30 and 5:00
