well, If the machine is spiking the pressure, then, probably, no matter what the graph looks like on sleepyhead, it's worth investigating, and if it looks horrible on SH and the machine is going "pfft, don't care".... ;)
I am not saying just immediately dismiss ugly FL graphs. All I am saying is that if the AHI is nice and low and boring...and I am sleeping good and feeling good....that I wouldn't go spending enormous time worrying and doing all sorts of pressure increases (or letting the machine go higher if going higher causes problems) just to clean up a FL graph that might not clean up anyway.

Investigate....yes and maybe even try some more pressure experiments but if the FL graph is the only thing ugly and the person is sleeping good and feeling good...and the more pressure experiments wasn't cleaning up the FL graph then maybe back up a bit and not go to war with the FL graph if more pressure doesn't clean it up and there's nothing else we want to fight.

fyi, I have run my machine in "For Her" mode once to see what the obvious differences were. The two major differences I noted were:
  • The way For Her mode established a new minimum pressure after it finds it necessary to increase the pressure. The pressure line never returns to the minimum pressure.
  • The pressure increases--presumably for sleeping on my back--are gentler. (Gentler than APAP "soft response" mode too.)
The Flow Limit chart looks quite different but I didn't pay much attention to it.
Hey thanks for doing this. Since you have resscan, would you be willing to update the post with a screenshot of the "for her" FL chart in from resscan? After setting resscan FL chart scale to match SH, as mentioned earlier in this thread.

The real question isn't trying to get resscan to imitate SH, the question is, if Resscan is set to defaults, what does the data actually look like, and is SH broken, (as it is in so many other edge cases) (see the post I just made where it's showing a respiration rate of 50 during an apnea viewtopic.php?f=1&t=172686&p=1265275#p1265275)

Understand your point. My thinking was to get everything same as it can be, and just compare the chart shapes. My gut feeling is that SH is the problem too.

The chart *shapes* are fine. SH is recording the same FL events as Resscan... it's just the scale of the y axis that's different.

That's interesting. To me it appears that they are being overly widened. This is a gigantic assumption on my part.

i'm going to go ahead and post that "odd" night, just for the record-
screenshot-20180819-094256.png
then last night-
screenshot-20180819-094256.png
obviously, i'm pretty happy with last night! :) now, i know one data point doesn't make a trend. so we'll see how it goes, moving forward.

i'll have many questions if my AHI stays nice and low. of course, i'll have some question if it doesn't, like WHY? :) but we'll see how she goes.

comments welcome if you see anything you wish to comment upon.

interesting....i thought i'd formatted the post so that i had image then comment then image. that's not how the preview turned out. and for some reason, the high AHI night got in 2x.

 more "stuff" for me to learn!
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

OK, here's the ResScan FL graph with the range set to 0 to 1.

Thank you again! I've tried as best I can to overlay the SH and resscan FL charts here. In order to get the times lined up, I had to stretch the SH chart considerably, so everything's a bit distorted on it.

What this shows me is that I'm all wet. Not just wet, soaking wet. Looks like pretty much a duplicate to me. I was expecting some significant differences, and there are none. Doesn't look like SH has any problem at all here.

i think maybe there should be a sticky post: ZONKER-This is how you do stuff!!
