I am saddened to inform the cpaptalk community that I have failed to decipher the cipher cipher from the riddling frog.

After spending almost 2 hours researching this I can still find no USFDA acceptance for this on even a limited basis. Can't say it doesn't exist so much as I just can't find it and I'd love to see it, learn more. Additionally while I have seen pictures of 3 people wearing it they ostensibly seem to be more of the press-release ad variety than clinical or practical use examples. Giving it the benefit of doubt some questions I have is how does one sleep with it if on their sides or stomach... or any position other than their back given the existing design we've seen and based on the relative few pics available. Bear in mind that beyond my original 'hickey' concerns I make no value-statements regarding it or its use whatsoever. I don't see it as good, bad, right, wrong or even here nor there really at this point in time... just another in a long line of curious respiratory widgets. But as with most things apnea related I've developed a rather vigorous curiosity to learn/understand more of the world around me. I mean who woulda thunk loosening a mask in many cases can seal it more effectively than tightening it!?!

I thought I would be the guinea pig and try out the product since it is for sale here in Canada. No luck. They only have offices in the western provinces and two of the east cost provinces. But alas, none in Ontario.

I don't think that those involved in bringing it to market recommend it for anybody who is successfully using CPAP at this time. For now, it's for those who can't or won't use CPAP. As these devices become more widely used, that will be revisited.

I wasn't planning on buying it, just booking their complementary session and trying it out to get some first hand experience. See what it felt like, how it worked with different sleep positions. Trying not buying. They don't provide a price on their website. I would be interested in hearing that. Again, not buying, just knowing. I like information.

This is what I was querying earlier when I wondered why aerSleep is not cleared yet in the USA but is for sale in Canada (as per the blurb above, dated May 30 2018)

Canada has government healthcare. They sell to the government for people to use instead of expensive CPAP.
