Well, if it ain't one thing it's another. Now you have ear issues. I was going to suggest turning down the pressure on your machine from 10 to 7 or 8 for a few nights to adjust. I got used to increased pressure over time.
But, It seems like you might have a unique ear issue. I would go to an ear specialist. I've never felt pressure in my eardrum from the cpap.

PS- you don't get sleep when you don't use your machine. What you get is apneas. Keep trying. You got to make this work.

I'll do what I have to do - I think it's time to talk to the DOC at the Sleep Clinic

Went back to bead - Slept through to 8:15 am - Didn't bother to get out of bed until now
WOW ! - I just got almost 8hrs total !!! - The Mogadon worked
Kind of drugged out sleep but it was SLEEP - It's been a long time since I got near that much in one night

I'm going to get some sort of Breakfast -Then take a HIKE into the hills - Go worship in the GREEN CATHEDRALS !
I'll take my Bluetooth Speaker, sit under a tree & weep

Don't give up, I have tried for nearly 3 months and at last I am getting some sleep with CPAP - a few times I gave up pulled the mask off and slept without it. I have tried a few machines and have found the dreamstation auto easiest to breath with for me. Hang in there.
Cheers

It is not my intention to "Give Up"
I do have to have the issue of CPAP air flowing up my left side Eustachian Tube addressed though.
Simply breathing sounds like a very loud wind storm inside of my head !- & it actually starts to hurt

I'll talk to the DOC at the sleep clinic ASAP - I have appointments with my GP & Cardiologist
on Thursday - have to have an Echocardiogram done on my ticker -

Maybe an Echo done on my Bean would be appropriate, interesting, & worth a laugh or two

Until then I will hook up when I can and hope the problem backs off - Like I said the first time
I hooked up for an extended session I did NOT have the problem

Instead of saying that you just can’t stand it, please enumerate the problems. Once they are stated, I think that they can be dealt with.

Here are some examples (they might not be your problems):
1. The mask is making my face sore.
2. The straps are very uncomfortable.
3. The forehead piece is irritating.
4. The mask leaks and/or is noisy.
5. The pressure is uncomfortably high when I first put it on, making it hard to fall asleep.
6. The pressure is too low when I first put it on (I feel like I can’t breathe), making it hard to fall asleep.
7. My nose and/or mouth get very dry from usage.
8. The air/noise from the exhalation port is too loud and/or uncomfortable.
9. The machine seems to amplify my breathing, and I find that very annoying.
10. I can’t comfortably sleep in the position I’d like to, due to the mask.
11. The machine itself is too noisy.
12. There is condensation in the hose.

It seems that you do have problem #4. This is probably a mask fit issue. Try loosening it (I know it’s counterintuitive, but it might work). Also, if adjusting it doesn't work, try a different mask.

Dropped a 1/2 Mogadon & Hooked up to CPAP around 10:40pm
I figured my ear would pop again and I would have to come off

Surprise, SURPRIZE ! - I konked out ! - I actually fell asleep !
Woke up around 12:30am - stuck with it & fell asleep again !!

Woke up again around 1:40am - That was it - No more tonight
Unhooked around 3:30 am

Usage says I had 4:50 hrs - Events say 0.4 - leaks are smiles

Bottom Line - I actually got to sleep on the CPAP for a while !
Actual PROGRESS - I'll get up & read for a couple of hours
................................................... then hook up again

I know you are having fun playing with the text tools; but Enlarging
Single letters is very uncomfortable to Read.
I will put you on my foe list until you please stop doing that.

Wow! Just read through this whole thread to see how you are progressing. Great news. You have come a long way, and it's good to know you are sticking with it. Best of luck in your cpap journey.

Looks like ckeith was killing time at 1 am with all the weird editing. Oh well, anything to make the dismal early hours pass by, I guess. At least it's not in fuchsia. He does seem to be digging in for the long term... hope he makes it.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

You could do far worse than Sibelius' Tapiola as something to listen to while sitting quietly with eyes closed and just relaxing. A somewhat different interpretation is found in the Karajan version:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BiYYnsZz3IM
A documentary on Sibelius includes a somewhat truncated explanation and is found at:

Here's hoping for continued progress - and yes, do give up on the keyboard ruffles and flourishes

I was told by my GP that I must use this machine, as my Apnea was very severe, causing my Oxygen
levels to drop dangerously low, and together with a fairly serious heart condition, the prognosis would
be none to promising if I declined -

I could not put the mask on without feeling a surge of Rage & Adrenalin - BP skyrocketed & HR spiked !
No way could I stand it on my face for 5 min, let alone sleep with that THING on

A severe chronic and protracted Insomnia, debilitating fatigue, and the resultant confusion & unavoidable
mood swings and shear desperation, served only to exacerbate the problem to an intolerable degree

Before finding CPAP Talk.com - I felt myself to be alone in what was fast becoming a hopeless predicament

In just a few days - reading though a few of the threads - allowing myself to be open to the Advice, Experience,
and Compassion of many of the members here, I have largely beat back the Irrational Rage

I have gotten so that I can put the THING on without fear of precipitating what could easily and quickly have
become a very serious episode of Atrial Fibrillation

LAST NIGHT I WAS ACTUALLY ABLE
TO GET TO SLEEP WITH THE MASK ON MY FACE FOR SHORT PERIODS

all be it with the assistance of 1/2 Mogadon

Just a few days ago I had thought this to be Impossible -
THANX to this forum, I have some hope of resolving my problem -

And now I find my presence here, - Who I am & how I express myself Offends People and unless I change who
I am and how I express myself they will account me their "FOE" -- Perhaps it's my Insomnia - but I find that Confusing

Unfortunate
I have valued your encouragement help & guidance, and will therefore do what I can to curtail doing what offends you
I have chosen a smaller size for my Caps and will try and use less Italics, Underline, Boldface, & Color

However
If who I am offends you - I I am much saddened -
As I AM to a large measure, like anybody else, the person who expresses himself and acts in the way in which he does

I do not speak or act in a Zombie monotone, devoid of all nuance, a personal syntax or syllable stress , word and pointed expression -

.............. link link link
And being a Synesthete, I find it next to impossible to write and express myself, NOT using the tools set before me
................................................................. Color, Shape, Size, Intensity ALL Carry meaning for me !

I will do what I can - But I cannot honestly express myself in a way that is unnatural to me

If that causes you to account me a FOE - I am Saddened - I will try to curtail what offends you
