After nearly 15 years on CPAP I have learned that things are never static and that OSA is never really cured to the point where you won't wake up one day and see numbers that all of a sudden have gone wacko.

In those times this forum has been immensely helpful. Day in and day out Pugsy, and others, have been there providing help for so many people. I have always been amazed at their dedication and want to extend a thank you for myself and the countless others out here.

As for the forum, it is no different than others, except for the lack of moderation and the use of language that typically is not acceptable elsewhere. But what I have seen over the years on a lot of forums is that the real trouble makers usually never stick around for the long haul and they leave for new pastures where their opinions will command new interest from a new group of posters. Hopefully anyone new to the xPAP experience will not have written it off because of them.

As many of the old timers would have noticed, I haven't posted and participated on the forum for a very long time. Facebook has been the goto for the last three years since I had my first baby girl (that goes "bow wow"). When I do have an issue or two, I'll pop in, get the question answered, then disappear. Well, I've been having some issues for a while and hadn't posted about them until recently. In addition, I have recently wanted to return to the forum as a participant once again.

Yesterday, I logged in a saw this post seeing that was 16 pages. Wow! So I decided to open the post. Again wow! To my utter shock, I find out that Pugsy has decided to fade out due to the behavior she has observed over time. NEVER did I see that one coming!!!

As I was chewing on that thought last night, I thought of this. Just as we have a thread called, "The Great Pillow Exchange", I thought of creating a thread called, "The Call Out Room". A place where folks could copy and paste those kind of posts that Pugsy has talked about as a matter of confrontation. Let's face folks, no one wants that.

My two cents for the day.

The thing that is different about this forum, and it is unavoidable, is that it is the same thing over and over again - my mask leaks, my numbers are bad, my nose is red. I don't blame people, it's hard to search and find the answers. But it does get tedious to answer and I think that is why people are a little touchy that they might be getting spammed and get peevish. Can't be helped, but we need to keep that in mind, that we once we were in the same spot, trying to find the answer with a search, but finally having to ask a question.

Hi Starlette... I know you have the best of intentions... however, IMO creating a thread of this nature would only result in it turning into a circus and would get as nasty as so many other threads have. I don't believe it will make the people who produce rude, belittling posts any less inclined to continue to do so. I think as soon as a person sees that their post was copied and pasted in the thread, they will post in it with an even more insulting post. Then the half dozen people who post uncalled for posts will jump on the original poster's band wagon, and it will turn into yet another circus type thread.

This thread was far down in the index because no one had posted in it in 7 days.

The decent thing you could have done was ignore the thread. But noooo, you had to resurrect it.

This thread was more than half way down the first page. You chose to bring it up to the top again. No difference at all.

Thank you Lucyhere. Just a thought....Yes you are correct, it would have turned into an ugly, vicious circus.
