No. I have not reached a point where I feel comfortable trying to sell my paintings. Perhaps in another year or so.

Well, the dragonfly painting is done. There are some things that I would correct. But overall, I'm pretty pleased with this one. ... the most important thin is that I hope you enjoy seeing this as much as I enjoyed making it.

I love this. Don't let Chunky see it or she will drool on it.

As I've noted, I'm not very comfortable creating a very loose painting. This was my third or fourth attempt. ...

... I also decided to do a golden koi. As you can see, the pearlescent inks my son gave me work very well with pen & ink. I am much happier with this painting.

The role of the artist is to find that interesting item and highlight it through the painting. And in many ways, that's the role we all have. To highlight those things that are important to us. We highlight them to our children and our friends. Funny how my art is more about learning to live life well than it is about the mechanics of the art.

Isn't it odd that the saints among us see the world and us as the clay beneath their fingers. As much as we try to venerate them, but hold them at arms length, they wade into life and live it fully. And in so doing, they change our world for the better.

I feel that my relative, is also a saint. But a Jewish one. At age of 50 he is a father of 10 children, 5 of them adopted, and one of them with Down syndrome.

I love this drawing as I do all of the others. And I love what you said too. You're a very nice and good person.

When I first came here John commented on a stupid comment I made and made me feel welcome. He has always amazed me with his patience compassion and knowledge. Not I get to be amazed with his art work. I am so glad he is sharing more of himself with us. I am a fan.

Two thumbs up! You are correct that (regardless of religion) there are some among us who, through their actions, transform the world in a very positive manner. Your relative qualifies.
