SleepyHead 0.9.1 Official Beta Release

Hi,

I am about to buy a pulse oximeter to use with SleepyHead but I am a little confused which model of the CMS50 that works with SleepyHead? - I am looking at the EW and F model.

I'm using a CMS-50D+. I'm using it in "live mode," i.e. put on pulseox, go to the SH oximetry screen, click on "start live."

I get a valid display of data on the oximetry screen, then click the save icon.

When I look at SPO2 on the daily screen, the scale is all screwed up like this:

I also have the same problem in live mode.

Mark uses a CMS 50 D Plus for himself. He said he was going to upgrade to the CMS 50 F soon so Imagine we will see support.

I just bought a CMS 50 E as it has the same data as the D Plus but Lithium Ion rechargeable batteries.

Recording from import should works perfectly on the 50D+'s, and syncs better too if your start both devices at the same time..

But the photoplethy in live mode is fun.. I read somewhere you can extract respiratory rate waveform from it alone.. Rather nifty, but don't really need to with flow rate waveform, as it's more accurate calculated from there..

The scale issue is because I forgot to mask the spo2 to 7 bits somewhere.. will be fixed in the next build.

Edit: Nope.. That 7bit mask is not it. it's caused by a short burst of data that didn't reset the Min/Max values.. (Maximum is primed with -32767.. one off the minimum possible 16bit integer)

Whew, I'm glad to hear it. I've been hiding in the bathtub, trying to avoid sparks so I don't burst into flames with 6500% of normal O2 sat levels.

1) Import CPAP data.
2) Go to oximetery, import data, save.
3) Go to daily tab. No oximetry data graphs.
4) Go back one day in display, then back to today, oximetry appears.

Should the O2 and Pulse events have lines on the events flag display?

By the way, I love the description of oximeter types in the preferences screen.

This isn't really a bug, just different. I've noticed that under events it will now sometimes show Periodic Breathing 0 Events. Is that because there was a wannabe event? Just curious.

Holy cow! I logged on to gush about how much better I like SleepyHead than I do ResScan, only to discover there has been a Beta version out! I’ve been using the older one since December 19, when I got my new machine. I use both RS and SH each day and I just flat dislike ResMed’s software. It scares me a little, a non-confident user. I'm always worried I've violated something or it that it might eat my data. So I did a (for me) quick scramble and thanks to the remarkable group of people who post on this board, I got SleepyHead 0.9.1 and 0.9.2 installed, easy-peasy.

Today was the perfect time for me to find this information, since I could still download every bit of data I have to the newest SleepyHead version. Tomorrow (or very soon) I fear my machine will start to overwrite data on my card. I think. I don’t know. As I said ResScan makes me uneasy. Neither my insurance company nor my doctor expects to see anything other than the compliance data shown on the machine. Since I am doing this for myself, I can just use Sleepyhead and fuggedabout ResScan. I am thrilled. Thank you, jedimark! I thanked him on PayPal, too.

Currently it's set to check for an update every 7 days in general preferences..

Would be cool.. .Currently the Event Flags display is very "cpap'y" and doesn't want to talk to other data sources.. Needs improvement..
I need to stop passing "Day" objects around internally and start just passing the dates.. Not a major change, I just want to make sure the other issues are solid first..

This is a known issue.. I keep forgetting to fix it. :}

I just need to tell it to reload the day in Daily view after saving from Oximetry.

I've just had my S9Autoset changed out for an S9Escape, so no more data for me It's a shame because I found reviewing the data incredibly useful when working out what position to sleep in, how many pillows worked best and so on. Being a Mac user I found Sleepyhead fantastic, what a brilliant resource - thanks!!

To ease my data-addiction I bought a CMS50E oximeter, intending to use it with Sleepyhead to keep an eye on what's happening now I've changed from APAP to CPAP. Unfortunately Sleepyhead doesn't seem to ever detect the CMS50E, so I can't get any data from it. I've tried it on a borrowed Windows laptop and it works ok.

Does the CMS50E work with Sleepyhead? I so want it to .....
