Folks, do the "Friends and Foes" options work for this forum? If you are taking an issue with someone posting, go into your control panel and set him or her up as a "foe".

I've done this on other fora and it works. It really works.

Of course, I'm assuming that it's active here because, if not, I'm sure that the Goodmans would have made it so it doesn't even show up as an option.

I guess the followup to my post here is, "Why are we here? To beat the $4!7 out of each other or to learn and get better sleep? I'm not even going to select the notification option for this thread.

You are so correct and that's exactly what I have done. I think from now on, I'll not let my curiosity get me and just stay out of these OT threads that have obviously taken on a tone like this one. It doesn't do anybody any good and really takes away from the greatness (and purpose) of this forum.

Many of the " American " pharmaceutical firms you so proudly proclaim to be responsible for the medical advances in this country are actually Swedish and / or German companies.

Just because they have offices here doesn't make them American owned.

The French have done their share of good work in medical advances also.

You might be surprised at how many of the advances you think of as " American " actually originated in other countries.
