Allow me to join the chorus of the many who have gained so much in thanking you for the thoughtful and enlightened info and advice from your many great postings.

As an ironical sidebar, as a major doggie person I chose the name "woof-man" on the ASAA site before finding this valuable site. I sometimes wonder if folks over there blame you, Den for the free-thinking stuff I write on the ASAA site.

There is no question that you were one of the primary folks here who made me immediately feel I was in the right place, and that this therapy was exactly what I needed to commit my life to accomplishing in an effective way, and on my own initiative. I started thinking about all the things that Wulfman has helped me with....
I went back and looked up some of the replies to my questions.
I will never forget and owe a debt that can never be repaid.

On wanting to be all better, after a few nights:

Patience....... and "Baby steps"
You didn't get to where you were, overnight......you won't reverse the detrimental effects overnight, either.

fighting for my Mseries auto /aflex machine

Does your prescription say "A-Flex"?
If so, they gave you the wrong machine and LIED.Den

When I got my 1st FFM

Unlike the ResMed machines, you don't need to make any machine settings when you change masks.
However, you might want to bump up your minimum pressure.
Did you do the "Teflon tape fix" to your mask yet? (Wrap Teflon plumbers pipe tape around both ends of the elbow going into your mask)
Don't cinch it down too tight......especially the upper straps.Den

On nasal clensing:

I just use plain (slightly warm) water to loosen things up........let's call it....the "digital" method.Den

On dealing w/DME about machine purchase:

Beeeee Caaaaarefulllllllll......... Den

On helping me get the HH set correctly:

It's been noted before.
More humidity can have the effect of causing more nasal congestion and have an adverse effect on therapy.

On cpap being socially acceptable:

YEP! If you have the guts to wear panty hose around your head at night to keep your mask on, you definitely need to come out of the closet.
Den (don't need a 10-footer.......my 6-footer does just fine......)
