I've been away from the forum for quite a while (dealing with some non-cpap-related things), and am SO glad I stopped in today. I would have been so disappointed to miss this chance to add my two cents.
Den, the reason you're getting so many warm-hearted thoughts is that we all know you didn't make all those posts in order to make all those posts. Yes, you're a social creature (as wolves are... ha) and you love to take part in discussions (serious stuff AND silly stuff), but it's obvious when somebody's writing in order to "hear" the sound of their own voice. That's not you.
Some are born helpers, and you're one of them. AND you know what you're talking about.... a rare thing, indeed. Thank you so much for sacrificing your time, helping so many (myself included) and being willing to repeat yourself hundreds -- thousands?? -- of times (the toughest job, imo). Ten thousand plus posts certainly is impresssive, but I, for one, would love to know how many times you've patiently dug up your instructions on getting into a particular cpap's "secret" menu and posted them instead of saying something like, "Get a life, you lazy a$$!!! You CAN read, can't you??? And can you see the search box above??? Why should we spoon-feed you, when the information's already here, if you'd just invest some time in your therapy!!! Do you have any idea how many times we've already answered this question???" (hmmm.... did I just channel Snoredog?) as most would be tempted to do. (Instead, most think, "Oh, I don't need to bother with that.... Den'll do it. Pshew!!!") Thank you, Den, for patiently answering the same questions again and again in your kind and patient way. Thanks, too, for being willing to use that 2X4 when we've needed it... with light padding, no less. Much appreciated... mostly... usually.
I also saw that you've recently retired.... congrats on that, too (she said as she gritted her green-with-envy teeth). Spend some of your moldy money, get yourself one of those horribly expensive fishing and/or hunting licenses and enjoy your well-earned available time.
Kudos, my friend, and thank you.
