Re: Poll: How Old Are CPAP Users?
I was born on Pearl Harbor Day.
The world got over that ... pretty much .... but it ain't done with me yet.
I remember the first time a young kid called me " sir " ... I looked around to see who he was talking to.
Couldn't be me.
I'm shocked when I look in the mirror ... whoa!!! Call the cops, honey, there's a someone in the house!!
Looking through 67 year old eyes with a 24 year old mind.
Many older folks are into computers ... great hobbie for us retired geezers. Our computer club meetings are full during snowbird season.
I got into computers in the early 60's.
My first computers were analog with gears and synchro - servo motors.
Then we got the first digital bombing computers( AN/ASB7) for our aircraft .. the old A3D's.
Wow for some reason the old designation for that computer is still rattling around between my ears.
Each half cost a million dollars and only kept track of 24 variables, but it did fly the plane when the bombadier put it in drop mode.
It would go into an arch and throw the nukie as far as it could and turn on its back and then roll over and haul butt the other way.
My first personal computer was an Apple IIC in 84.

Re: Poll: How Old Are CPAP Users?
A staggering and little known fact is that we're all getting older.
I'm older now than what I was when I wasn't as old as what I am now

Time was old people annoyed me, like when they would wear black socks with shorts and block the supermarket aisles, guess what now that I'm 71 years old, and pretending I'm younger, life sure is great.

Re: Poll: How Old Are CPAP Users?
Last week I called my DME to arrange a pick up on some equipment I am not using and the lady on the phone asked me if the patient was "deceased". Boy did that make me feel old! I had to get a pacemaker last year and when I go to the clinic to have it adjusted I am the only one there without a walker. I am 58.

Re: Poll: How Old Are CPAP Users?
late 40's. And for all of you single guys that are worried about what your sleep-over companion might think,
unless you have such severe health problems that you _need_ to use CPAP every night,
, either mention it or don't as the date flows, depending on your female companion.
For example, she might be a nurse or MD (in which case you have nothing to worry about), or you can sense that she would
accept it without freaking.
If you skip it for the night and start snoring, your companion will nudge you to wake you up, at which point you know what to do...
Either begin certain "activities" or put the mask on.
Of course if there is a second or third sleep-over you will wear the CPAP mask with true confidence (never show signs of embarrassment, apology, or loss of self esteem because of this - that's a death sentence). After all after a certain point, if your new companion doesn't accept
it, then she probably won't accept a lot of other things and is probably going to be a waste of time.
Uh oh OT sorry.

I was in Walmart today to buy some gift cards for Christmas. Had the cashier lady at jewelry ring them up for me to avoid the long line. She said, "There's envelopes over there to put them in." As I was getting ready to leave she said, "Be sure and pick up the envelopes." I playfully responded, "Yes dear, yes Mom!" All of a sudden I realized there was a good chance I was older than she is. Need to be careful who I call "Mom".
