Perhaps feature requests could be a separate sticky topic so we can scan them before listing what becomes a duplicate. Occasionally maybe even have a feature carnival and come to consensus on the top 10 features requested.

Johnny, is there any way to make it more obvious when someone is in chat like before?
And is there a way to make it more obvious when we have a PM waiting for us?
And when I go to post a new PM and the empty PM page comes up the cursor always automatically starts in the Message box rather than in the Subject box. (I often forget to put in a subject)

Bounce Moribund Posters after an hour?

Lately it shows there are 1 or 2 "chatting live" but when you sign in and say hello, noone responds. Maybe they went away and left their computer on, and never logged off. Right now there are 2 names on there, one of which has been on there over 10 hours and non-responsive then and now.

That was always the case w/the previous forum software as well. But it was really nice that you would see WHO was in the forum and WHO was in chat right there on the main page of the forum.

On the other hand, the more they add to the pages they slower they load and there are still quite a few of us still stuck w/dial-up instead of high speed access so .....

Ditto. I've also noticed a significant difference (slooooower) in my dial-up response time at home (logging in, loading pages, etc.). And, for what relatively little time I spend on my home computers, I don't have the inclination to spend that much more to go to anything faster (more than twice what I'm paying for dial-up).

When I hover my mouse over the 'X Chatting Live" words, I get a pop-up list that shows me whose in the chatroom. This is true in Firefox, IE7 and Safari.

Hey Deerslayer,
I think Outasync's sentiments are meant to be all inclusive. Goof and I are the only one's that have admitted it in our recollections.....

From me -- Thank you to all who have served, both military and other ways!!!!

cheers

Hi,
I'm a Newbie and glad to be here! And yes, there ARE stupdi questions...Here are two:
1) I can't fill out my prifile because I have no idea what the first 5 lines are asking (ICQ etc) so, could someone please tell me?
2) What exactly do you mean 'tag' and what/how/when do we use that terminology? I work good with examples.

Thanks....I was never good with technology. I'm probably one of the few people left with no TV or phone in their homes.

You need to go to the equipment section and just fill in the equipment. You don't need to fill in every space. If you want us all to have all your other info you may include it, but don't need to.

ICQ is a messaging service, like AIM (AOL Instant Message). I don't use it, I do use AIM but choose not to give me AIM address out to anyone but family, so you won't see it in my profile.
Not sue about tags, don't use them.

Neither of those are stupid questions!

Brenda

It would appear that my ability to reply to posts and or send PM's has been revoked.

Can anyone please clue me in as to why? I have never received any notice that my behaviour here is against the TOS, so I'm a little puzzled as to why I can't contribute.

I've sent a PM to one of the Moderators.

Thanks.

Katherine.

WestCoastCdnGirl..... It isn't just you. They changed servers this morning and all sorts of issues with posting have come up with posting and private messages. There is a thread already started about trouble with sending private messages by RandyJ.
And Robysue has one about posts and quotes. The "forbidden" message is happening all over the place randomly... Me too.
