Feature Request: Bookmark specific msg
Currently we have an excellent feature for bookmarking a thread. I would like to request to enhance a bit to bookmark a specific post or msg.
Chris, and Johnny, Implementation wise this is very easy. You have all the basic sw already working. Just near the current QUOTE button provide a BM button on each post. Use the same mechanism as the thread bookmark, except use the msg link which you already have right there, for the msg quoting anyway!!
Very often some threads get very long, multiple pages, and one is interested in recalling one post, which may be very difficult to recall/reach even if you reach the thread later. Even in smaller threads, often cross topics do exist. BTW, the freedom you allow for people to talk cross topic in a support group like this is very valuable to many members.

Yeah!!!!! I cast all 26 votes from the rusty land of Old Lincoln for this feature to be added soon! (Please)feeling_better wrote:Currently we have an excellent feature for bookmarking a thread. I would like to request to enhance a bit to bookmark a specific post or msg.

It's going to be okay in the end; if it's not okay, it's not the end.

Hi,OldLincoln wrote:Here's a wish list item, Johnny. I often wish for a little "Post It" thing when going through posts so I can find them later. Not a typing tag that gets lost in a cloud but a button just to flag it (unique to user) then search and clear my flags later.
Try the "Bookmark Topic" feature at the bottom of a topic page. To access your bookmarked topics, go to your User Control Panel.

Re: Welcome To The New CPAPtalk.com! Post Bugs/Questions Here.
That works for the thread, but not a specific post. Often one of our resident experts says something really important (occasionally anyway, well, maybe sometimes, I mean they have been known to, or I heard a rumor once ) and I only want that post without copy/paste into a text file I can't find later.SleepPunk wrote:Try the "Bookmark Topic" feature at the bottom of a topic page. The post bookmark would be neato and I could still peg threads that go into the same bucket when I want. Sometimes you feel like a post, sometimes you feel like a thread (not very catchy, huh?).

...it seems to happen when he does a reply with quotes included. The quote shows up, including his sig & equipment, but not the text itself. Weird. Maybe there are more but I stopped after a few pages. I've seen it happen to others, the one from my earlier post was for Jsmythe. The problem should be pretty easy to reproduce, no? Just reply to someone else's post with your comments inline. I wonder if it was related to the forum upgrade.
And I'm pretty sure he's not deleting his OWN posts
EDIT: I found another disappearing post and it wasn't Snoredog : viewtopic.php?f=1&t=33630&st=0&sk=t&sd= ... 15#p288705
Whew that was a fun search

Re: Welcome To The New CPAPtalk.com! Post Bugs/Questions Here.
Hello All CPAPtalk members,
Stopping Point - We are at a stopping point for now with the launch of the redesigned CPAPtalk.com. We hope you like it better than the old one and that you continue to make it the wonderful destination that it has been for soooo many CPAP users who need help and camaraderie.
Future Bugs/Feature Requests - This thread will be taken down from the announcements shortly. You may continue to post bugs or feature requests on this thread or anywhere you think one of the Admins might see it, or PM an Admin.
Version 2 - We have also made a list of the bugs and features we didn't get to this time around and we will be going through, one by one, and deciding if we should include them in version 2 of CPAPtalk.
Thanks! - I just want to say thanks again for all the wonderful compliments from everyone for the whole team, over here, who worked on this project and for all your feedback and feature requests/bugs. It makes us feel good to hear such kind words, and to try and make this forum work like you want it. I have shared your compliments with all of those who worked on this project.
Speaking of kind words - I have been a lurker on here for quite some time now and I just have to say that I have a solid TON of respect and admiration for the people who make CPAPtalk so great. You are some remarkably helpful and funny people and I sure hope if I ever have a condition like OSA, that I can find a message board with people as incredible, informative, and interesting as this one.
Returning to the shadows for now where you can probably find me lurking sometimes.
Sincerely,
Chris Brown
CPAPtalk Project Lead
