Hmm... that's a hard one. I'm a psychologist in heart soul and acdemic training (Ph.D. in that, and BA in special ed.).
I've spent a little more than ten years earning money by solving riddles - actually by being the CTO-CIO of a college where I live. I'm not employed right now (good time to get into cpap-user boot camp).
As a woman vis a vis a mostly male tech community I found half my time was spent in an uphill battle trying to get many of them to accept me as a thinking specimen of humanity.
I figured that if this is what I had to got through after giving my job title, women with less knowledge will have a much harder time - so - after I settle this apnea business, I'm planning to set up a tech support service (here in Israel), aimed mostly, but not exclusively, for women 40 years and older who want to use computers, but are literally afraid to ask...
First client is my 78 year old mom, whose deep sense of incompetnece is heartbreaking - but she's using email to write her (Swiss) classmates because those gals, the class of 45 (end of WWII) are having a 60th reunion in May...
Cognitive and emotional empathy will of course be part of the service...
