I am 6'4" and weigh in at 320 down from 374. I didn't have this problem until I turned into a lard butt. I am told that it became noticable when I slept when I got to 285. I gained over 100 lbs in a year. Hope to get to 240-220 and make this go away. Sleeping with a snorkel on is tough.

Well, since everyone else is being honest, I will share my height and weight...5'5" and I fluctuate between 275 and 300, depending on if my IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) is acting up and how much fluid my feet are retaining.

I hear there is a new medication that just came out this year that kills you appetite. You give yourself shots in the stomach twice a day.

What makes you think we're being honest? I don't know about the rest of these folks, but I'm actually a 23 year old swedish model named Inga. Size 0.

I just like pretending to be this middle aged bearded fatso. I think it's hot.

Inga, happy to have that off her, er, chest.

Liam,

I had to laugh because it's like a running joke in my house. Every time a Victoria's Secret commercial comes on Tv, I always sigh heavily and proclaim "Those damn women are using my body shots again!" Of course my 15 and 11 yr old boys roll their eyes so far back in their heads that someday they will get stuck, but it at least gets a good laugh.

While I will not divulge my weight, I will say that I have lost 80lbs since having Gastric Bypass surgery in Aug. and sadly my OSA is as present as ever. In fact, my pressure was just increased from 10cm to 12cm in Dec. I do believe that I will be a hosehead for life. But much better than a non hosehead in death.

Mary

BMI = big man index right? Well hell, I sure rate highly on that one! I'm 41, 320 lbs and 6 feet tall - I was 220 until last year then everything went haywire and I got up to 375

I'm truly ashamed to say, but I'm a 36 yr old female, 5'4" and 220 lbs. I take a lot of psychotropic medication that has contributed to my weight gain. I'm dieting now and hope to drop about 80 lbs. Argh. Wish me luck.

I am a 5'4" female, and I am 40 pounds overweight. I just lost 17 pounds on weight watchers, so I don't plan to be overweight much longer!

I'm 38 years old, 5'8" and about 175 lbs. I've gained about 20 of that in the past couple of years due to OSA I think.

5'10" and 165 pounds. I run, work out, lift weights, have a 15 neck, normal features and jaw...and OSA. Go figure.

Male, caucasian, 5'8" and 185 lbs... "Fench Woman don't get fat" (quoting the "diet" book from Mireille Guiliano), but French Men can get chubby, so it seems... (trying to lose 20 - 25 lbs)

OK, fair enough.

45 Years old Male
5'8" tall
200 Lbs, + or- 5
High BP, High Cholesterol,
surgery to prevent reflux
Heart attack at age 41.
Peripheral Artery Disease too.

Wondering how many problems were
promoted by apnea.

Hoping that CPAP will treat the
root cause, instead of just treating the symptoms.

I will be honest here, too.

I am 43, and weigh a shade under 400lbs. I'm seeing a nutritionist to help me lose weight, and getting out and going for a walk a few times a week.

I haven't been under 220 since 1994. I actually had a sleep study at 270 pounds which showed no apneas, got as high as 296 and then managed to work my way down to 235. Interestingly, it wasn't until I lost that weight that I developed sleep apnea...

I'm 43 and 5'6", for reference.

(Yes, by the way, this is a recent photo -- my weight is not so much in my face but in my fat derrière, which of course I choose not to show online !)
