we have an opportunity to move from the southwest back to the pacific northwest and we are seizing the day to do just that. we are pretty happy with the prospect of being back where we have spent 35 years. and my wife was there even longer than that.
Happy for you all zonker. Sounds exciting.

And best of all, you'll get to start all over optimizing your therapy in a new environment. That's going to be fun for all of us!

Best of luck to you, especially with getting the real estate transactions completed. Homeward bound!
yeah, i'll prolly have to update "zonker's crib" with all the battles that will come!

hell the change in humidity alone will be sure to get me.

fortunately, the real estate part is out of my hands. our buyers want another look as they feel the inspector didn't give them that opportunity. whatever.

our house is only 3 years old. it's the main house that is older. still i don't think there will be any worries. daughter and son-in-law have done a ton of work on the place so it should be good.
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

What a great place to move to.

After you get settled check out Janicki Industries. You may get a tour and a glimpse of new developments.
i had no idea such technical work was going on there! i'll bet woolley gave them some sort of tax break on that.

(btw, i've found out that the cool kids call Sedro-Woolley just Woolley.)

i have so much to learn....

oh, WE have a dog. that's part of the logistics "problem".

he is a handsome golden retriever named stewball.
8) ... and he always drinks wine?

Happy for you Zonker and looking forward to hearing about all things green and wet!

I was thinking ZOOCREW would take over the welcoming?
...but Miss Emerita is great too ~~~ :)

ding-ding-ding-ding-ding!! winner, winner, chicken dinner!!!

in his seven years on the planet, you are only the second one to figure it out. tbh, we don't explain his name unless someone asks. about 1/2 don't. BUT-

one day at the dog park, we got to talking to a woman who i would guess was in her forties. she didn't ask for the origin of his name. we chatted a few minutes, then parted. we got 20 feet away when she shouted "OH MY GOD! STEWBALL WAS A RACEHORSE! WHEN I WAS A KID MY MOM PLAYED THAT SONG TO DEATH IN THE CAR!!"

so we definitely made her day.

to all-it's a peter, paul and dead mary song. my wife was an ardent fan and so the name came to her for her handsome boy.

oh and grace? zoocrewphoto? i see what you did there.

Look, not only am I trained in security measures, including hand to hand combat, but also a very large selection of firearms, and being from deep south Louisiana, I can COOK.
I miss the good, south Louisiana Cajun food. I learned a lot about what good food is while living in Louisiana. They were not only good cooks, they were great people once you got to know them.
Yes. We may seem a little "off" to most people, but we're very good, down to Earth people. We mostly like just spending time in the marshes and swamps, you know, fighting alligators and dodging snakes.

Okay, I stuck around.

Happy that you are happy with the move. I have moved away from southern Missouri twice in my life and both times I was miserable where I was and came back after just a few years.

Right now the only place I might move to is a small island in the Caribbean or Tahiti or some place like that.
Of my 67 years on earth I have been in this area 57 of them. Old habits die hard.
Can you take me with you?

Look, not only am I trained in security measures, including hand to hand combat, but also a very large selection of firearms, and being from deep south Louisiana, I can COOK. I'm willing to do whatever chores are needed on the island, including, but not limited to: Fighting off sharks, building huts, drilling for oil, skinning game, fabricating wind powered turbines (For the CPAPs of course), cutting down trees, skinning coconuts, building rafts, foraging for messages in a bottle...
i'll bet you look STUNNING in a loin cloth, too.

I would have used the adjective "blinding", but I suppose stunning works just as well - it's just not the GOOD kind of "stunning".

At least scorpions won't steal your bait like little alligators do.
