Enjoy the new/old digs.
Best wishes.
absolutely. it's just the stress of the actual logistics that i find daunting.
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

Happy for you :D

I thought you were on vacation cause I've noticed a few new people that were not welcomed to the Zoo....so I knew you were away. You were missed.

Hope everything goes smoothly!
very observant, grasshopper. miss emerita has been taking up the slack, there.

i'll be eager to get back to my role. new people come here because they are scared or desperate for help. they don't know that they aren't alone on the journey.

i try to remember how it was when i first logged on here. there is much help here, but there is also a lot to learn. and the jargon! that alone can be daunting.

so yeah, come october, i can get back in here more frequently.

Best wishes with your move! I used to live right near Sedro Woolley. I was stationed in Oak Harbor Washington for six years. Absolutely beautiful place!

yes, and thank goodness for google earth and street view! one can see a lot with these tools.

we are going to fly up next month, prior to the move, to have a look around. this is rather uncharted territory for me. this whole area was just something we drove past to either get to anacortes to see grandkids or to get british columbia.

looks like we are going to have lots to explore!

Okay, I stuck around.

Happy that you are happy with the move. I have moved away from southern Missouri twice in my life and both times I was miserable where I was and came back after just a few years.

Right now the only place I might move to is a small island in the Caribbean or Tahiti or some place like that.
Of my 67 years on earth I have been in this area 57 of them. Old habits die hard.
Can you take me with you?

Look, not only am I trained in security measures, including hand to hand combat, but also a very large selection of firearms, and being from deep south Louisiana, I can COOK. I'm willing to do whatever chores are needed on the island, including, but not limited to: Fighting off sharks, building huts, drilling for oil, skinning game, fabricating wind powered turbines (For the CPAPs of course), cutting down trees, skinning coconuts, building rafts, foraging for messages in a bottle...
i'll bet you look STUNNING in a loin cloth, too.

Definitely not snickering. About 20 years ago, I went to a farm there to photograph some horses. I really wanted one of them, but it was not financially feasible. I still have a poster of that one on my wall. He followed me around like a puppy, and wanted to be where the action was. I do go that far north very often, but when I pass the exit, I think of that horse.
awww! sweet story. this very daughter in this very move is a horse woman. first felt the call when she was 13 and hasn't looked back. in fact, there is a horse making the journey from here to sedro. in all, one horse, three goats and two cats.

she had a horse pass away two months ago. she will replace when we get to our new home. she hasn't ridden in a goodly while so the new horse may be one she starts riding again.

anyway, i'm just glad we aren't moving to eastern washington!

Where did he get that name?

The golden retrievers all meet every few weeks at a park in Coupeville called Patmore Pit.

Stewball? I'm guessing he resents that name.

Good thing he's handsome, with a name like that he needs every break he can muster.

Good Luck in the move!

I miss the good, south Louisiana Cajun food. I learned a lot about what good food is while living in Louisiana. They were not only good cooks, they were great people once you got to know them.

we have an opportunity to move from the southwest back to the pacific northwest and we are seizing the day to do just that. we are pretty happy with the prospect of being back where we have spent 35 years. and my wife was there even longer than that.
Happy for you all zonker. Sounds exciting.

And best of all, you'll get to start all over optimizing your therapy in a new environment. That's going to be fun for all of us!

Best of luck to you, especially with getting the real estate transactions completed. Homeward bound!

What a great place to move to.

After you get settled check out Janicki Industries. You may get a tour and a glimpse of new developments.
