Tropical Diver, Zonker, Dog Slobber or LSAT,

Thanks for all the help. I got a reader and think I have it on my desk top but I am not able to copy and paste to this note. This is what pastes: Image. Any ideas?

Jack
hey! you'll have to excuse the forum, it has some arcane rituals for you to go through to get your charts posted here. read this link, please-
viewtopic/t172378/Sticky--Newbies-PLEAS ... STING.html

scroll down to #4 to see how to post here.

let us know if you need any more help.

Tropical Driver,
I checked again and there is an SD card in it. I just don't bring it to the doctor anymore because he gets all the info off the cloud. I will need to buy a reader unless there is someway for me to get from the cloud as the doctor does. Is there info other than AHI that I need to know about, if my AHI is below 5?
Thanks,
Jack
Have you ever looked at the Sleep Report on your CPAP Screen? It will give you Hours slept, AHI, Average pressure, Leaks etc...AND it will give you this information for The day, The week, The month. Go into your settings and find Essentials..Change to Plus.

LSAT,
I changed the setting to Plus. Not sure what for.

Tropical Diver,
Sorry but I cannot follow any of how to do this. Can I copy and paste charts etc... into an Excel file and send that to an e-mail address?
Thanks,
Jack O

did you follow the instructions i linked? at exactly what spot did you have trouble?

go through it, step by step, and let us know where it fails.

you can do this. it's a bit of a rodeo to do, but in the end, it posts charts here for us to see.

Zonker,

I do not understand at all. You say to go thru #4 step by step.
Step #4 says
" ...If you want member input on your detailed software results...and want to share images of your reports
PLEASE read this thread. This thread explains how to turn off the pie chart and hide the calendar....read it.
viewtopic/t158560/How-to-post-images-for-review.html
Use the format I have shown in the examples. Don't do snippets unless requested...Don't include a gazillion graphs either.
Just do the basics...and if someone needs or wants another graph they can just request it.
Don't make the graphs tiny...we can't evaluate tiny graphs...don't shrink your report images...it blurs the numbers any my eyes are bad enough without trying to squint to read blurred numbers."

I am confused right from the start:"Turn of the pie chart and hide the calendar" What does that mean? How do I do that? What does " Don't include a gazillion graphs either" mean. What do I include ? How do I include it? I am totally lost - not a clue.

okay, it's cool. we are going to get you through this. you have NO idea how long it took me.

now this part right here-

viewtopic/t158560/How-to-post-images-for-review.html

i take it you clicked there and followed those instructions? seems like it, because you mentioned not being able to turn off the pie chart. let's forget about the pie chart for now. do you have your chart looking close to this?-
example-today.png
this how MY chart is organized. but let's just use it as an example for now. others will come in (i hope!) to tell you if you should re-arrange your chart. for now, let's just get your chart posted here, okay?

okay. i'm assuming, going forward, that you have your chart set. have you done a screenshot of it? (these instructions are for windows. if you have a mac, someone else will have to explain.) press F12 to take a scrreenshot. it will then save to a folder in your documents folder. the folder it will save to is called OSCAR_data. when you open this folder there is a folder called Screenshots. open that to find the screenshot. <whew>

now that you have that screenshot, here in the forum, at the bottom of your text box is a tab marked Attachments. click that. you'll see more text and a box labeled Add files. click that. you'll then be directed to find which file you want to "attach:. the file is the screenshot and you may have to hunt for it.

once you've found it, you'll need to hit the Place inline box.

please let me know if any of the above didn't make sense and i will try to explain further. i know it is a LOT of steps. eventually, we will get there.

lets see what you have and we'll go from there.

LSAT, Yes I saw it. I don't understand it. It looks the same both with and without the plus.

Zonker, No I did not see the pie chart. I was only repeating what is in your instructions.I think I added 9 screenshots but don't see them.

That graph is is fine but you still need to turn off the pie charts don’t mask pressure we don’t need both

Your max pressure of 5 is too low as your machine is at max pressure all the time and your still having hypopnea events and snores

I would like to see your Flow Limit graph.

Clearly, you don't have enough pressure to properly address your events, there is a lot of snore activity and when your pressure was 5-15, your AHI was consistently lower. I also suspect that your minimum was too low, because your current graph shoots right up to 5 and just parks there all night.

Having said that, your biggest problem is aerophagia.

The lowest you can go is 4, you can't go lower and that's not addressing your events. Going higher will address your events but your aerophagia will likely worsen.

You have to find a compromise between aerophagia you can tolerate, with lower pressures and addressing events with higher events.

Hi Dog Slobber,
I will think about pushing pressures up in a few days - may the low from 4 to 5 or 6 and the high from 5 to 7. I have not been as comfortable as I an now without the air swallowing, constipation, stomach issues, gas, chest pain waking me up etc... for a long time. I think I can live with an avg. AHI of 4 to 5. If it was that without the machine, I would not even be on CPAP. Please see attached the daily limit and long term limit too. Hopefully that is what you want.
Thanks for your help,
Jack

Thank's for the low limitation graph.

It's fairly active, and combined with the snore graph, the events and a comparison to your numbers when you had higher pressure, re-enforces that your low pressures aren't addressing your therapy needs.

All the other stuff isn't all that valuable.

As stated, you need to walk a thin line between aerophagia discomfort and addressing apneas. If I recall, member Zonker, had a similar issue and just slowly started increasing his pressure in tiny increments over a fairly long period of time to address his Aerophagia and get to a better pressure.

OK - I will try a very gradual increase of pressure(s).
For starters I just changed my settings for tonight
From: L 4.0/H 5.0
To: L 4.4/H 6.0
and will monitor daily. Maybe give this 3 days and if always utilizing 6 as I now utilize 5, I will up it slightly again provided aerophagia discomfort does not increase. Sound OK to you?
PS. I do not have a goal of Zero AHI.
Thanks
