Oh my. I wish my sleep center or insurance program had had such lectures (or better still, written info) available. I feel like I've been thrown almost entirely on my own on what to do. I got a small amount of info on using the machine from the DME provider, and that's it.
I've been trying to learn a little about interpreting the results from my CPAP machine by downloading OSCAR and looking at the "Beginner's guide to using SleepyHead" (a program from which OSCAR was derived) posted to another discussion forum.
This has nothing to do with this thread, but do you folks know where to look for more info on interpreting CPAP results, for beginners?
That was part of a lecture from an A.W.A.K.E. meeting I attended in Manhattan years ago. Getting an A-list speaker like that one was an exceptional circumstance, for sure.
Goofproof always cracks me up, that witty prankster.
I think the link you are looking for may be this one. Even though you aren't brand new. I still read that post once in a while myself.

This forum itself is provided as an educational resource. You are at the right place. You are welcome to ask any questions about interpreting data at any time.
The only requirement for being here long enough to learn and asking interpretation questions is your having the ability to put up with our odd personalities.
Pugsy is pretty much the only sane one among us. The rest of us can be more of an, um, acquired taste.
For example. I am old school. I am terrible at interpreting squiggly lines. Once I can tolerate a mask and leak is steady within reason and usage hours are up, I monitor my AHI and keep the running weekly/monthly average as low as I can, but I don't worry about getting AHI lower than I can get it. That's really about all I know about interpreting machine data and acting on it responsibly.
