just fyi, I've read some stuff on that blog, and it seems they play fast and loose with what they say... at least the things I've read.
Ah thanks for the info.
I trust my kids sleep doctor over online stuff honestly. She told me and I believe her.
My kid uses her cpap great and its not a big deal. It works for us and she likes it. That's really all that needs to be said to nay sayers and I'll ignore them from this point forward.

Has anyone here who had a home study remember how long it took to get results? Might I get mine this coming week?

My GP gave me a Resmed Apnealink Air device for my Home Sleep Study I got my results the day after I turned the machine back in to the doctor. At the same time they sent a prescription to a DME.

Ty! I dropped mine off Thursday so hopefully I'll know something early this coming week! I used a Nox-T3 device for my study. I'm trying to research them a bit lol

I had a study in a sleep lab in 1999. They said I'd have the results in six weeks. Two days later, they called with the results! They explained that due to the severity of my case, I was put at the top of the stack because of the recommendation of the sleep technician who administered the test. However, I think that these tests are more hands-off and it's possible that they won't know to expedite those whose cases are most serious. Also, these tests - given in the U.S. - are often scored in India.

Glad to hear that, However, the practice of "outsourcing" test analysis is prevalent in many U.S. facilities!

What kind of shady facilities are you going to? Been doing this with the kids and my husband since 2013 and none of them have EVER been scored by anyone outside of people affiliated with that lab. You might want to switch your facility if that is your experience

My results were ready in only two days. Picked up the device on a Tuesday, turned it in on Wednesday, got a call from the sleep clinic that same Friday to make the appointment.

Ty! If I've not heard by Tuesday I'll give them a ring and see if they can tell me anything. Tired of waking up exhausted and with headaches

This forum is replete with true stories of very bad advice given by sleep doctors. In fact, poor treatment by sleep medical professionals is the major reason this forum exists.
You have a huge responsibility to your daughter. I hope you live up to it.
