perhaps you should see a brain doctor about your brain problems... don't forget.

JAW,
I don't know much about your health concerns, however, when I saw that you had continued symptoms, such as brain fog, even after good compliance with Cpap, I thought I would add a few thoughts. I had rather mild Apnea, Hypopneas, but still needed cpap. It took from nine months to a year to get to feeling like my old self again. I have read that it doesn't take that long, but all I know is how after a good long while, I suddenly felt good and was able to focus again. No memory lapses either. I was worried there for a while. I actually now have some energy.

I will add that years ago when I felt tired, blood tests determined that I had Hypothyroidism. I went on meds and that was drastically improved. You might get your blood sugar checked too.

- Yesterday was terrible with brain fogginess of 6/10, head pain 7/10 (at the back of my head, after my ear, this is not head ache), brain unproductivity 8/10. The night before I slept 2.5 hours in the bad room, then wake up and work a bit, then went to the good room to sleep for 3 hours. So total 5.5 hours of sleep with half in a bad room. I did 2 times Sanchin Kata https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kybxNOlnl20%20 during the day, feel great afterwards (head pain was relieved, fogginess a bit less). This good feeling after Sanchin Kata lasts 1-2 hours, but brain productivity is still very low.

- Today I feel much better, with brain fogginess 3.5 /10, head pain 4.5/10, quite curious about brain productivity today. Last night I slept 6.5 hours in the good room, wake up naturally to my kid's noise, feel quite OK, have time to do some exercise (30 push up, 30 sit up, short sprint of 100 meter).

More about brain productivity: if I start a day with directly working, then I could dive into work with good flow and higher productivity. If I start the day with reading news and email, then the working productivity of the whole day is fucked. I do programming for a living.

I would complain to my familydoctor soon so that I can be sent to a brain doctor.

Sorry, I meant only due to OSA, or it is still not true ?
Hi Jaw,
Read Blackspinners message in the other post. Try her suggestions.
You have only used Cpap since April. It is true that some people take longer than others to improve. Give your self time. Get some second opinions if your insurance will cover this.
You have two threads going and this is confusing. Take your pick which one you will keep and which one you will stop.
My two threads: one is about general health issue, the other is about inspecting the bad room to find out the cause.

Good to know you are improving, for me I have to do everything to get to my top performance. I HAVE TO have enough productivity at this moment.

Blood sugar is what I forget to ask while they were doing my blood test. But B1, B12 are good for me (only vitamin D is less good and I 'm taking pills in)

So I tend to make a diary here: I always make a diary and store to my google drive, but now I'm writing here so that I could receive interaction or other patients can also receive some information.

Another beter day after sleeping in the good room.

- Yesterday I was sleepy the whole day, but this is not Apnea sleepiness, it's only a sleep deprive due to not having slept enough the nights before.
- Fall asleep in the bad room (I need to lie down next to my kid otherwise he does not want to sleep). So I sleep without CPAP from 21:00 --> 22:00, feel a headache immediately after waking up.
- Go to the good room, put CPAP on, put CMI oximeter on, sleep from 22:10 til 06:30. Overnight's SpO2 was min 96%, max 97%, so this and my 0.5 AHI show that my OSA is not a problem causing me tired
- Wake up at 06:30, do 30 pushups, 30 situps and sprint 100m after waking up.
- At 10:00 feel brain fogginess of 3.5/10, head pain of 3/10 (lower is better)
- At 12:30 while doing the lunch and talk to people: feel a brain fogginess of 6/10, head pain 3/10.
- Coffie at 13:30, brain fogginess = 4/10, head pain 3/10

Brain productivity
- Start the day with directly jumpint to work, up until 13:30 is my brain productivity = 7/10 (higher is better)
- At 14:00, listen to someone explaining something technical at work, my brain processing speed is 6/10 (higher is better).

Another beter morning: brain fogginess 3/10, head pain 2.5/10.

Yesterday night in the good room I opened the door even more.

Still, I tend to suspect the percentage of oxygen in the room is very important to my lung. Before CPAP I had observed a high correlation between closing all windows and having bad dream at night.

Probably my lung is not so perfect. A doctor has found a light asthma, but I don't think it is the only reason.

ya know, if *I* thought there was something wrong with the air quality in my home, I'd be calling in some professional services people that could sample the air, see if I have bad air, or it was all just some crazy hallucination that was going on in my head...

That is why i was asking here if I should buy an Oximeter or a CO2 meter for my room.

Such professional service like you said is hard to find in Holland, a googling of "vlucht kwaliteit" gives me nothing. And they dont know what is Sleep Apnea and brsin fogginess.
Thanks

I am going to lose my programming job due to poor performance. My client is complaining about me.

Next monday i will see a family doctor about my brain, if there is anything to do.

Yesterday night was terrible with CPAP. I went with my family to a summer cottage. Window was accidently closed for the small room of 2 adults 2 children. And although there is still a big hole in my door leading to the a shared hallway there was not enough O2. CPAP just pumped poor quality air to my lung and my head ache is like pre-CPAP.

Call me crazy, but my pre-CPAP period was also devided between closing or opening window.

Call the city or municipality and ask them to arrange someone to check your air quality. It's done all the time everywhere and I can't believe the Netherlands would be any different. Don't talk to them about OSA or Cpap, just say you wonder if your air is good or not because you haven't been sleeping well in that room.

aside from the fact that you haven't tried to find anything, and i'm sure that a country as technologically advanced as holland has companies that do air quality monitoring, why would they know anything about " Sleep Apnea and brsin fogginess.", they do air quality.

but, if you are dead set on thinking you've got bad air, sleep with the doors and windows open in your naughty room, even put a fan in the window blowing IN from outside.
